I’m 16 years old and on the pill. I had sex with my boyfriend on the night of June 24 the vary next day I left for Mexico for vacation, while there I accidentally forgot to take my pill for several days. When I got home I started my period on the July 2nd though my period lasted five days like normal for me on the pill, it was vary light, using light tampons for the first three days and then only vary light spotting for the next two. The first time I had any sign of pregnancy was the 5th when I threw up early that morning and other then that I had an increase in appetite but the smell or consumption of food would make me sick. I wouldn’t throw up but was miserable until I wasn’t full anymore. Usually I could only eat about a handful of food at a time before I started feeling sick. Then another week or so with my queasiness I threw up again, after eating in the afternoon. I have also been experiencing irregular sleeping patterns often-needing naps during the day. Well, then I began to loose weight (I have been exercising more then usual). I am still having an increase in physical activity but now I’m beginning to gain weight back a vary miniscule amount but odd for the fact that I had been loosing weight, and my food intake while slightly better is still not vary successful. Today was the worst sign of fatigue yet, though for the entirety of summer I have been getting a full 8 hours of sleep tonight for some reason I slept for 12 hours something VARY uncommon for me. Typically, even if I don’t have anything to do, I will always sleep just 8 hours typically during the summer I stay up till around 1 in the morning and wake around 8 possibly nine. Yet today I went to sleep at one in the morning and woke up and nearly one thirty in the afternoon. I have been also experiencing unusual lower back pain and a brownish red discharge over the past few days. I have had pregnancy scares before but this is by far the worst this is the only time I have ever had actual symptom not just paranoia. I have been under an unusual amount of stress lately so that could be it but if not I want to make sure. Please if any of you have an idea please tell me.

You should take a pregnancy test. There are a lot of home tests that are available over-the-counter or in pharmacies. You might be sick because of a disease, not because of pregnancy. Weight loss is very tricky, your body somehow adapts to your weight loss routine, so after a few days, you don't lose as much weight (your metabolism adjusts itself to how much you ate and worked the previous day, so keep changing your exercise routine and diet plan and you'll keep losing the weight.)

Your oversleeping is something tha happens to everybody. Everyone oversleeps every once in awhile in their lives. It could also just mean that you really are sick, and your body is shutting down for repairs.(?)

Lower back pain and brownish red discharge are symptoms/ signs that you're about to get your period. If you do get your period, then all your troubles are over. You cannot be pregnant and menstruate at the same time, so if you do menstruate, then you're NOT PREGNANT.

What in the world are u doing,Honey? Are u tryin to get pregnant? As long as you are on the pill you shouldn't get pregnant but there is no guarantee you won't.
I'm a 37 yr old mom of 3 kids who are my life.. but I wish I had waited a little while longer before havin them. 2 out of the 3 are results of some sort of birth control that failed.
The BEST birth control is abstinence.
My daughter is 16 and I would die if I found out she was sexually active.Where is your mom? Have you told her yet?
The stress alone in your life could affect your periods, yes. Also the excercise can affect it. There are many factors that could contribute to your symptoms.
You need to see a Dr or go to a local health clinic.
Also, it could be that the climate, the water, and some of the food in Mexico could have made you sick.
Go to the Dr. or clinic.
Good luck and God bless!!!

it's possible. all what you describe sounds like pg symptoms. but let's look at your timeline. if you were ovulating around june 24--then that means your last menstral period was AROUND june 10th? does that sound right to you???? so, when you got your "period" on july 2--was that the right day you should have started, was that when you were expecting it? if you were ovulating and conceived around june 24--you would not even have been 4 wks pg on july 5--that's when you threw up the first time. most women miss their periods at 4 wks-- and that is their first clue they are pg. you had a light period...and weren't even 4 wks. and typically, morning sickness starts around 6 wks of pregnancy. and morning sickness peaks around 7.5-8 wks. the kind of morning sickness you descirbed--was what i and many others have had on our peaks. SO-----that could mean a few things besides being pg. 1. you are unrelated sick--flu--something you picked up on vacation 2. missing the pills and restarting screwed you up 3. you are month farther along pg. anyway, take a pgcy test. they are very accurate. although there could be false negatives...a positive is a positive. good luck

I agree with Mariaboek (great post). You are unlikely to get pregnant 8 days before your period, as you will typically ovulate and then get a period 14-16 days later. You cannot get pregnant if you aren't ovulating -- no egg, no pregnancy. Secondly, you will not have pregnancy symptoms 11 days after sex. Implantation does not take place until 7 - 15 days after sex, and even then, your hormone levels have to begin to change before you'll have symptoms.

Rest easy, I don't believe you are pregnant. Talk to your doctor about protection you feel you can count on and remember. Don't take a chance.

Go get a pregnancy test or go to your local family planning clinic. You were off your pills for an extended period of time. In all reality you should have used a backup method of birth control until you were activiely back on your pills. You could be pregnant so get a test to make sure.

when you vomited its just because you waited so long to take the pill. i am on birth control too . and once i though i was pregnant. but that's just what happens when your body gets used to having the birth control and then you abruptly stop. it makes you sick. i dint think your pregnant. if you feel you need to, just go buy a test to make yourself feel better.

Get an over-the-counter pregnancy test. Sperm can live up to 72 hours ina vagina. Skipping your pills may have decreased your protection.
