When I was pregnant if someone touched my belly, family or stranger, withouth my permission, I would touch theirs back. It made them as uncomfortable as I felt having them touch me so they got the hint and everyone backed off and started asking. Pretending to sneeze and cough worked for me too.

I always hated when someone i didnt know touched my stomach when i was pregnant. Esp when they did not ask. So one day this lady came up to me i never meet before and touched my stomach. I dont know what came over me but i touched her unpregnant stomach back. She gave me the crasiest look ever. I dont suggest that. Really the only thing to do is polietly say please do not touch my belly.

I think you would be sad, too, if nobody acknowledged your pregnancy. It's just a way people show that they are happy for you...and that it's nothing to be afraid of...like you pet a dog....when you see one. They mean it well. If you can't say, " No touching please....I'm just really tired of people touching my belly...don't take it personal."...then you will have to avoid people...or maybe even wear a sign. Peace.

The friends and close associates. Tell them at the start of a conversation.
All others observe their behavior and if you are quick enough when they try to touch you stomach grab the hand and say something thing ie Please dont touch my stomach, I am sensitve at time and please ask my mood or permission before you touch my stomach

Speak up! It's probably the only way. Actually, there are some websites that sell shirts now that say "Don't Touch the Belly". Maybe you should get one. ;)

If it's a woman, reach back across and touch her breast and ask her if it's real.
If it's a man, well, you can imagine where to grab and ask him if it's real.
Good luck and congratulations.

Wear a shirt with nasty food stains on it.
Wear a shirt that says, "Don't touch my stomach".
