Do you as a young adult in High School feel to much attention and emphasis is placed on college and not enough on vocational/technical? Do you feel if more emphasis was placed on education for a career/trade immediatley after high school there would be less drop outs or students who do not care? Seems to me when my daughters were in High School all I ever heard about was what students had to do for college etc. Counselors spent all their time with the college bound. Do you feel if you are not going to college schools should be doing a better job preparing you for the working world.

My 14 yr old neice is visiting me in Florida this summer, I'm not vain and could care less about a tan or the sun. I'll even have her carry a big umbrella for me, I'm only 4-5 weeks and we just found out AFTER booking her flight to come visit! (lol)

Is it safe to go for just a few hours to take my neice to see the Gulf and have some fun? I'm OBVIOUSLY more concerned about the baby than fun, but... I'd feel bad not taking my neice since she's here from Maryland... I'm already letting her down by not taking her on the rides at Busch Gardens... her Uncle will be doing that with her, but I know it's just not the same for the neice. Please help!

I'm a first time mommy-to-be and dont want to pester my poor doctor with a million questions... PLEASE serious answers only.

I like the name Paisley and Lily for a girl--no middle names picked yet.. I can't choose. I also like Gunner, Gage, Logan, Landon, and Levi for boys. I want it to fit, ya know. Roll of the tongue. Any ideas?

i get picked on all the time at school i get called fat and nasty and ugly and albino the teachers dont do anything they just tell me to ignore it then when i get home i get yelled at by my mom all the time and she doesnt let me go out of the house and hang out with my friends like yesturday there was something wrong with the computer and she started yelling at me saying it was my fault i had not been on the computer for 3 days

We're going on a 4 day trip this weekend. With all of the bottles, diapers, formula, water, cereal, clothes, blankets, etc... my trunk is full before I even pack my bag. And there isn't much for stores where we're going (camping @ lake) so I can't get stuff there. Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

i am 18 and just found out i am pregnant 4 months with twins by my ex. bf and i keep getting these flutters in my tummy?i scared i dont no if this bad i have only been to doctors once and am hiding my pregancy from my parents so i cant go to a doctor my current bf. even felt it some when we were makeing out (he has no idea). and my ex. has no idea what this is and cant pay for another doctor visit.

My wife is pregnant, she's 5 weeks pregnant. She has been to the doctor and the doctor said everything was fine, and gave her some vitamins and supplements. Doctor also said is perfectly safe to have sex. Why does she not wanna have sex though, everytime i ask she makes up an excuse like her head hurts, her stomach hurts, she is tired. But before i ask her, she seems fine, she's not complaining about anything, she might even be on the phone with her mom laughing. The minute i ask her, she's suddenly in pain or tired. Why is that? What's the matter with her?

My child cuts up (bad behavior) at school and home all the time but makes excellent grades, and they think he has ADHD. They want me to take him to a Dr. to check and see if he has ADHD. I am going to take him, but I just don’t know about the medicines. I have heard that sometimes it doesn’t take the medicine to help, but it is an option. I just want to hear from other parents out there who is experiencing these same issues with there kids that has been diagnosed with ADHD, and how are you dealing with it, what methods work, and what doesn't. Also did the medicine work or not. Do you regret giving the medicine...and also how has it affected the child...please help.

I am blessed to have parents who care for my child while I work. But no matter what healthy foods I prepare for meals and snacks, I come home to find they ignored what I left and fed my child cookies and other junk. I would not mind if this was once in a while, but this is 5 days a week! I have thrown out the junk food they purchase, told them I want my child fed what I prepare - no good. Please, and good ideas will help!
