It is forced water passed into the rectum to eject bowels for whatever reason.
Sometimes it is used to induce labor. Other times it is used to aid children who are severely constipated. Sometimes it is used in chemotherapy to relieve bowels or constipation from the effects of chemotherapy.
Some people think that the whole notion of getting an enema is unpleasant. But when you are that constipated or that pregnant, they mostly relieve severe discomfort for what ever reason you are "plugged up."

It's a medication that is used to help you go # 2 when your really consipated....it's like clear fluid that you put in you bottom and it cleans you out. Hope I helped.
