You should stop taking the pill now and wait at least 3 months before you try and conceive. Depending on how long you were on the pill for will determine how fast you get back to a normal cycle. For me it took about 6 months to start up my period again after going off the pill.

I have read and read about this question. I JUST got off the pill and thought I was going to have to wait three months before trying to get pregnant, but I have read that the only reason you might want to wait for 2-3 months is because they can better predict your due date this way. If you have thought this through and REALLY do want to get pregnant I would finish the pack of pills you have now and go for it, they have so many sites on the internet about this and you can even calculate when you ovulate online. (plus they tell you when you will be most fertile, and it's free) Here's a site that may help you, I wish you the best of luck and remember if it's meant to happen it will...

They recommend going off the pill and getting regular first, but I didn't listen. I was pregnant 7 weeks after I stopped taking the pill. I stopped in the middle of a pill pack also. I don't recommend it because it's not healthy, but I did it. It wasn't exactly a spur of the moment decision either. My husband and I wanted to start it was just a matter of taking that step, stopping the pill seemed so life changing, lol. Dumb I know. Good luck!

Yes, stop the pill before trying to get pregnant. Also if you do not get pregnant right away after stopping, do not get discouraged. The hormones in birth control pills get built up in your body/system and usually take some time to clear out and your body to go back to normal. It may take a few months before the effects are totally out of your system.

If you both come to the agreement that it's time to have kids....get off the pill and start now....it may take a while for all of the drugs to leave your system....most women get pregnant within the first 3-4 months of getting off birth control....it's better that you take the pill and not the shot cuz the shot lasts longer....just don't stress over it, it will happen when it's supposed to.

Stop the pill after you are finished with this cycle. its best to finish this cylce of pills so you won't throw your cycle off. Alo start taking prenatal vitamins. Have intercourse during ovulation with your next cycle. It may take a couple of months until your system is cleared from the hormones in the pills you are taking. it also depends on how long you have been on the pill. Good luck!!

First you have to get off the pill. Wait a few months, make sure you eat healthy and don't be stressed. Usually 4-6 months is the recommended time frame, but again it will be up to you on when to start trying.

Get off the pill, and have sex often. If you have a regular menstrual cycle you can time when ovulation should start. It's generally about two weeks after your period. What I would suggest is after your next period, wait a week then have sex as often as feasibly possible for two weeks. See what happens.

your ob/gyn should have counseled you when you were first prescribed the pill, you should be off birth control pills at least 6 months prior to pregnancy. You should rid your body of the extra hormones so you lower your chance of birth defects.
