I'm pregnant with my first child. I'm sooo excited but the huge responsibility of being a mommy makes me anxious too... any same feelings?

Every pregnant woman goes through it, believe me. It isn't going to be half as bad as you imagine. That little angel will be well worth all of it!

Oh, yes! I was so anxious at first about everything, like I knew nothing about how to keep a child busy and entertained and all that. It's still a huge responsibility, and I still think about what will be coming up in the future, but you learn things as you go along and that gives you some sense of comfort that you know what you are doing and can handle things. I always remind myself to just concentrate on now, take one day at a time, so to speak, and not worry about the future so much until it's here. There's some things you just don't know anything about until the time comes.

I wish you the best, and I'm sure you will do a great job! There's always lots of us you can talk to about things when you need to!

I am 21 weeks along and I know how you feel. I can't wait for my son to get her, but then I stop and think, I am going to have a son and be a mom and I get worried. There is so much information available on how to care for a child and so many people around giving advice, that sometimes it seems like being a mother is an impossible feat. I just stop thinking about it all and tell myself that I am going to be the best mother that I can and even though I may not live according to what the books or my family/friends say is correct, my son will be well taken care of and have all the love in the world. Good luck!

you will have those feeling for the rest of your life dear. there are so many fears that go along with becoming a mom but there are also many joys to balence them out. while you are pregnant do alot of reading and figure out what kind of parent you want to be.... for example... how do you want to nurse or bottle feed/dicipline/praise/teach. That will help you over come alot of your fears. Also talk to a trusted older woman, like a grandma or greatgrandma for parenting advice. Alot of the older generation is trustworthy in this department and will give you better advise then you will ever get in a book.

Good Luck

PS. Join a mommy bbs. They are a great way to get support and ask questions without getting the jerks that you'll find on here.

Just wait until your baby actually CALLS you mommy for the first time. You'll look around like, "Who? Where? Mommy huh?" LOL Congrats on your pregnancy. :)

I've never been pregnant but I can imagine that everyone feels like that when they first discover they're pregnant. Don't worry. It'll be alright when that baby finally arrives. Congratulations!

You will be surprised how naturally it comes to you once that baby is in your arms. I had the same experience. Do not fear. You will make a wonderful mother.
