I mean, shouldnt I be feeling big kicks higher up in my stomach, like ones that other people can feel. My baby kicks like right around my underwear line, under my stomach.

I have asked around and the doctor says definatly not before she is 2 (my daughter is 19months) yet other people say I should have started already. She is giving me some signs she is ready to start training, but I would just like some hints and tips from other mothers who've been here and done this. :o)

Some of the things they wanted her to know amazed me. Is anyone else overwhelmed with what kids should be taught? I thought I did a good job preparing her. She'll be 5 in July, so we decided to wait. Was that the best??

why can't you allow nature to take its course??...Sex in its most beautiful form is to be shared with one partner with whom you desire to have a family. Why risk the rest of your future, your school, your career and your happiness by having a child for whom you are financially responsible when you lack the maturity, the degree, the family support and the decent paying job that will provide your child with the love and things that they need the most?? I understand that you are starting to REALLY feel the want to experiment...but before you do that...look at how much rent is....think about how much child support is...if your parents aren't willing to help you since you made an ADULT decision in your non adult life...consider what the cost of your experiment may be...beyond the emotional and financial needs of your new son/daughter....this is why adults consider teen pregnancy as a SAD thing....because we know the probable outcome.

How can you tell the gender of your baby without an ultrasound. Isnt there some old wives tales about things like that. Well i was reading a website which said if you sleep more than usual its a girl. With my first i slept all the time and sure enough it was a girl, but i want to know if any of you have any other idea how to tell.

I've been watching Super Nanny recently, and was just wondering if any has tried any of the methods she's advocated and has seen positive results? The TV show only shows 2 weeks of the discipline process, so I'd like to know what were the longer term effects and success rates. Thanks!

I was wondering about any factors that can influence your child sex? For example, diet at time of conception, timing of conception, position etc....

Do these things matter???

He is barely rolling over, not sitting up, just does not seem right. I have said things to my sister and she says he is lazy. I am really concerned about him. I have a 9 month old and he was doing alot more than him when he was 5 months old. I know every child is different, but isn't he behind

i am a single parent of a teenager and a six month old, both girls. my baby hates it when i put her to bed at night and wakes up throughout the night. i try lullabies, waiting it out through her screaming, bedtime routines, ect. is it because im nursing her? it seems she wants to be cuddled, but every two hours?? she doesn't cry but she screams! i'm afraid the neighbors are going to think that im beating up my kid or something. i read the books, look on line, talk to the pediatrician and even other parents. im about ready to pull my hair out. im not getting any sleep because i have chronic fatigue sydrome due to my fibromyalgia and her waking up all the time, i never get any sleep. i'm single so i have no one to help me out during the wee hours of the morning. my older daughter spoiled me she couldnt wait to go to bed when she was a baby. so this is all new to me. i live in the country so i dont have much help outside the home. im just burnt out. i love her like crazy, but i need help!
