I'd call a doctor about the breathing..that sounds rather important...
that said...my son's only fevers and issues have happened after vaccinations...it is normal.....we also gave the infant tylenol drops...as far as vaccinations go, the 1 yr vaccinations are more complex...you will want your pediatrician to give you his/her cell#..if breathing is still a concern..then you will want that comfort..they run 3-4 vaccinations and one of them are a live virus(although small) it is still live and your baby's body has to create antibodies against it..it was rough on my son..he has never been ill except for vaccinations...knock on wood...but still we monitor him for those.

You don't ever want your baby's breathing to become labored or shallow. That is a 911 situation. If your pediatrician is aware of your daughters respiratory condition, the shots wouldn't have been administered if there was a connected risk. But if you are concerned, call the Ped (they should have night time on-call doctor available) to talk about her respiratory issues and if you should be concerned.
As far as the fever....my daughter is 11 mos now, but I must tell you, the 4mo shots were the WORST. The fever spiked at 102. Baby was irritable, wouldn't sleep, and to see her like that and not be able to fix it really scared me as a mom.
Infants Motrin seemed to work better on fevers than Tylenol. I would suggest that. Also a soothing bath. Until her fever comes down, don't over-dress. Lots of snuggling..in fact strip her down to her diaper and snuggle her skin-to-skin. Babies find that VERY comforting. Prepare for a long night. It will get better over the next 24 hours. It's just one of those things you have to endure.
If baby's fever gets over 103, her breathing gets irregular, or she starts becoming listless, take her to the ER. That is a rare thing, but reactions do happen sometimes.
But the symptoms you describe, although miserable, are VERY normal.

If the fever isnt going down with Tylonol, take her to the ER, she might be having an allergic reaction to the shots. Is there any kind rash on her body that wasnt there before? Just listen to how she is breathing and watch her temp, if the temp doesnt go down and/or she has labored breathing, dont hesitate to take her into the ER immediately!!

I hope she feels better. Shots are no fun. Oh, its normal for them to sleep a lot after shots....irritability is also normal.

Also, do not give her Motrin...she cant have Motrin until she is at least 6 mos of age!

Have her committed to a mental institution as this apparently is all in her head.

What the f*** do you THINK you should do? If your pediatrician is any good, they should have given you a sheet after your baby had her immunizations that listed the symptoms she might experience, and what to do. How high is her fever? If it's 101 or less, I'd stick with the tylenol. She will eventually settle down and become less irritable. If the fever goes up above that, or if she has any other unusual symptoms not associated with getting immunizations, call her doctor.

Keep an eye on her. Sometimes babies get cold like systoms after shots. Next time, about 30 min before a shot, give her the recommended amout of tylenol. Also switch between tylenol and children advil ever 4 hours. It worked for all 6 of my kids.

Sometimes kids run a fever after shots. They can have a slight reaction to the pertussis or whooping cough part of the shot. Some children can't have that part of the shot at all. My son had a similar reaction and could not have the whooping cough portion in his anymore of his shots. He was also born with breathing issues.
If you are really concerned with it call the local ER and ask what they think. If she is not better by morning I would suggest calling your doctor. Good Luck!!

Did your ped tell you the warning signs of a reaction to the vaccine?

If the temp goes above 104 you need to call the emergency room. The fever tends to get worse at night. So, don't let her alone at night!!

Call the ER, and speak with the doctor on staff. See if you can give her a cool bath. That may help in the interm. Please don't ignore this.

I can't believ no one told you about the side effects...my hospital gave me info on every shot...in a nice little folder. ESPECIALLY with the breating problem ----

I beg you don't wait this out!!

it's normal for babies to run a fever and be fussy after getting their shots, but if she has a prolonged high grade fever, then you may need to seek medical advice, as for her breathing problem, keep an eye on her while she's sleeping, if you notice anything out of the ordinary take her back to the doctor for treatment,

by the way, i hope she gets to feeling better :)

is her temp going down with the Tylenol? if not then go to the E.R. she might be having a reaction. as to her breathing problem if the dr who gave her the shots knows this and still gave them then it must be ok. i would stay with her though and watch her closely
