No way, you cannot shack-up with your boyfriend. Get a commitment first. Read Dr. Laura's 10 Stupid things women do to mess up their lives.
Good luck

In my own opinion, no, its not okay to live with someone else. Hear me out! I don't think this to make others lives miserable, I really believe it is what is best for the people. Studies have shown that the divorce rates are higher for those who live together before marriage than those who live together when they get married. I am not trying to use scare tactics though, just stating some information. For my husband and I, it was a thrill to live together after marriage! If you are planning on getting married to this person, living together can probably wait until you are married! What's the rush? Enjoy your single time! You'll be living with this person for the rest of your life!

If this is a question of morality...it is up to you, but if you think that living together can give you both a "view" as to what married life can be....go for it. Living together is very different than dating. Your "true self" comes out when co-habitating. Finances, your partners' hygiene, consideration, compatibility, and his/her ability to share in chores will be under review...a good "look and see" method before taking that big step called marriage. Some experts feel living together does not help...that "piece of paper" does change everything. Well, I do wish you happiness and luck...you will know in your heart if you are doing the right thing, but think and "LOOK" at all the options. You must be confused or troubled though, just asking this question......

Ou opinions are just that our opinions they are meaningless. It is all what do you want and what do you feel.

Consider this. In Old testament times the rite of marriage was a simple procedure. There was no wedding ceremony. There was no priest. There was no wedding party. Very few societies even celebrated marriages.

See during those times if a man declared he wanted a women as wife he would "invite her into his tent to be his wife" In fact one of our rituals today comes from that time period. If the women resisted slightly, the man had the option to pick the women up and carry her accross the threshold to force her to be his wife. Or he could allow her to run home to her parents tent and they would not be married.

I think it is! My fiance and I have lived together for almost 2 years and at times it has been difficult but I would rather live together and know what is going to happen than to get married and realize you really hate the person. I think it should be mandatory that every engaged couple should live together at least 6 months before getting married. At least after the wedding you might have him trained to know where the trash can, laundry hamper, and sink are!!

I live with my fiance and are common law already married. But mostly for financial reasons we moved in together. We were together 2 years b4 we moved in together and are planning to get married in another 2 years so do what you feel is most comfortable with you and your loved one.
I didn't want to live with my boyfriend at the time but we couldn't afford living on our own. I didn't want to feel that my wedding day was going be like every other day. Like day before wedding get up in the morning, say hi I'm going to mom's/friends- see you at the alter. And then after the honeymoon go home and get on with your life.
I plan on moving into my own place while still planning my wedding. Its what you want to do.
And I'm Catholic. I have talked to my Priest and while he feels that its not what he would recommend, its only his opinion. We were going to do it even if he was going to tell me that he couldn't marry us b/c we lived in what the Bible considers sin. But he is marrying us and we have had to go through the counseling for marriage, so do what you think is comfortable.
BTW "He who has not sinned be the first to cast the stone" to all the persons answering It's wrong you are going to hell, blah, blah, blah or that its okay as long as you don't sleep together. Come on. This girl is asking a question, not wanting to get a judgment passed on her.

yes. It is a good idea to get used to each other and make sure that things are going to work out alright. After all you will be living with each other for the rest of your lives, so there isn't harm in starting a little early! Also if it turns out to be bad you will be glad that you found out before you got married.

Yes, and as a matter of fact, my Lil Sweety and I don't believe in marriage, and we've been very happy together for over 12 years now, so don't listen to the negativity that seeps from the finger pointing hypocrites like that so-called Dr. Laura, cuz in reality she's a mixed up miserable old hag that wants to make everyone elses life as miserable as hers.

I live with my fiancee out of marriage and don't have a problem with that. The bottom line is that you have to decide for you.

I strongly experience that someone could desire to be held to blame for his/her movements. Extenuating circumstances should not be a component for handing out sentences for any crime. Society at present as an entire is in a fogged mindset and feels that human rights for those convicted of homicide, rape and different violent crimes could desire to be the final project in sentencing. someone's little ones, whether undesirable or good, truly has no bearing on the movements of the guy in adulthood. the clarification I say that's it is that person's determination to dedicate the criminal offense. The determine(s) did no longer come to a decision nor did the acquaintances nor the different outdoors impact. Now there are numerous of issues to %. and choose from that while you're actually not clinically determined with one, you are the insane one. And to make issues worse, some persons have dissimilar "issues" in an attempt to learn sympathy from the choose, jury, newshounds protecting the case, the typical public, etc. while you're guy or lady sufficient to dedicate a criminal offense, you could desire to be guy or lady sufficient to settle for the total effects of your movements. do no longer cry approximately it or say you have been framed or harmless or make excuses. it particularly is the "eye for a watch". i'm going to turn the different cheek if someone does a incorrect to me in my opinion. which includes misinform me or cheat me in organisation. i can not have faith that person yet i'm going to forgive him/her. To sum all of it up, we are able to get carry of what we sow.
