Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 June 2006

My husband is the greatest, we have a really nice relationship. We have been married for 6 years and I am ready to have a baby, but he is not. He is scared he will loose me, loose what we have. Is there any book that would help my husband out with this issue? I mean he wants to have kids eventually, but not now. I can not wait though, I have been waiting a long time.

My son is only 5 going on 6 and I am a single mom. Is this a correct age to be asking me these questions? He is asking me about why his body does what it does and if little girls have the same as he does. He is not asking me about sex yet!! I am sure those will come later. Does any one know of a good website or book that can help me through all the different stages in a childs life regarding the males body so that i can be prepared for the questions as they come.

My son is 2 and he doesn't say awhole lot and i was wondering when should i start to worry i know he knows more than he lets on to me knowing. Or is there something out there i can do to provoke him to talk? Help please.

If the father is bussinessmen & mother is also working then is it correct to opt for single child.Also it is said that if single child then mentally the child is not developedso much & he feels lonely .At later stage child also feels that there must be some one whom he can trust blindly.

After feeding my baby she is really sick. She projects it a couple of feet & it comes out of her nose. It's mostly in the morning after I've had my breakfast (cereal with milk & a banana) so i stopped eating bananas & drinking milk, but she is still sick, the midwife & health visitor have no cause for concern & said just to feed her as normal. She is gaining weight & appears healthy, I'm just concerned because it's not normal baby "cough up" sick. & she continues to be sick up to an hour after feeding. She is never sick during her night feeds which makes me think it's something i'm eating. Please help!!!!

she is 9 weeks old. Shes usually up most of the day. The only times she was up when I woke her up to feed her.Then she went back to sleep. Could she be going through a growing spurt or could there be something wrong?

She has refused to be potty trained. when she was 17months old i had her almost completly potty trained and then for some reason she just stoped. what can i do it get her to start potty training again. I need her potty trained in order to get her into a day care where i am at. and with her not in a day care i cant work. Please if anyone has any ideas please help me.
I talk her to the bath room with me and i put her on her potty chair and i have even gone as far as putting her potty chair lid on the tolit but still nothing. what should i do?????

so my husband, me & our 1 yr old son were driving home from dinner last night when the conversation came up about people having gay kids & my hubby says that its in the way they grow up, meaning that they can be brought up gay or not brought up gay. I sternly disagree & tell him that it has nothing to do with that, just because he is a macho man who is into hunting, fishing etc.. doesnt mean that our son wouldnt have the POSSIBILITY of being gay. Then he proceeds to tell me that its wrong & he would let him know that its wrong. So I say "would you disown him?" and he says not totally but he wouldnt be allowed to bring a boyfriend over, he wouldnt go to his wedding, wouldnt be there if they were to adopt a child. Now I understand that this is all just a scenario but what I took out of it is that my hubby has "conditional" love for our son, meaning if he isnt exactly what he considers normal he wont be there for him, we havent spoken since & I am really upset. am i taking this too far?

he wont drink at all from the sippy cup and the only thing he'll drink out of the bottle is his milk, no juice or water. he will drink juice out of my cup though.
