If you get a Pregnancy Midstream Test you can begin testing 6 to 8 days after conceiving a baby or if you are using a fertility chart, about 7 to 10 days past ovulation. With less sensitive drugstore tests, you have to wait until after your missed period to begin testing - one week after your missed period, most home pregnancy tests will give you an accurate answer.
However, First Response says it can be used three days before you miss your period.
If you are going to a doctor to get a blood test to see if you're pregnant, you can do that earlier than you can any urine test you can buy plus it's more accurate.
Hope this helps.

In order to get the most accurate answer, wait until you've missed your period. Some can tell a few days prior but I've gotten negative readings on them and when I waited until I was supposed to get my period and took another, it was positive! I don't know what some people are talking about saying couple of days. It takes at least four days for the sperm to travel up the fallopian tubes and fertilize an egg. Be patient and make sure the get a test with a few extra in the box. If it comes up negative wait a few days and try again. Remember it's always best to do it first thing in the morning. I would also recommend either using EPT or First Response.

Some tests can be done next day, some 3 days, some 1 week. I personally would wait about a week to 10 days at least if not longer.

until u miss your period...unless the test you have says you can take it earlier which i think usually is about 5 days before you miss your period. but i would wait till you miss a period before spending 10 bucks on a pregnancy test

for the best result wait till atleast two days after your missed period just to make sure that your not just a few days off. and take it in the morning the hornomes in your urein have more of the hormones needed for a correct answer. unless you use those digital ones then you can take it anytime of the day but still wait till 2 days past your missed period.

I would say you should test it out only after you have missed your period for at least 5 days. It is more accurate and it shall save you on the test kit.

Depending on the test either 5 days before your period or the day after your missed period. Good Luck.

The closer to your expected period the more accurate the home tests are.
