If the father is bussinessmen & mother is also working then is it correct to opt for single child.Also it is said that if single child then mentally the child is not developedso much & he feels lonely .At later stage child also feels that there must be some one whom he can trust blindly.

Yes now a days most people are planning for one child ,,, i have only one son age 4 and not planning to go for any more kid...... infact we dont want to go for the second child as we can give him all the best things in life... he doesnt feel lonely as we spend good time with him.. also friends share time... we are very happy with this decission ... also to let u know i learnt this from my brother whose has only one sonwho is 16 yrs now and he says he is more happy than having any brother n sister.. he is intelligent and a very well behaved teenager... keep good relation with your kid treat them like ur friend so he can trust u bindly

No. Out of all my friends, only one woman has a single child. And even she is trying for more, but just suffered a miscarriage. On average, single children are more lonely, not as socially adept, can be brats, and don't share as well. With my friends, 2-4 is the normal, with 3 being the average. Being a single child sucks, just ask one.

The number of children should be as many as you can love. Adoption is OK too. I have fiends that only have one child and others that have 2,3,4 none seem to be lacking in any way. siblings are good but even with a little brother i still have the same amount of problems as the next Human Being

i disagree, many couple feel they can only handle one child so they have only one child. i had many friends as a kid that were only kids and they were neither lonely nor deprived. just like those who had many siblings we all were devolpmentally together for our age groups
