Yes, some birth controls has lower doses than others. I have twice gotten pregnant taking birth control pills because they were not strong enough for me. Didn't miss pills or anything. So be careful, if you are having spotting while on the pill this may be something you want to bring up to your doctor.
Good Luck!

YES! This is becoming more and more of a problem as there has been a push for lower dose hormonal birth control. Like all medication it should be based on body weight. If you weigh over 160 (even if you are at a healthy weight for your height and bone structure) you run a higher risk of becoming pregnant while on the pill. Komo 4 news (out here in Seattle) ran a piece on this a few months back.

sort of, birth control isn't 100% effective and lots of things can stop it from working like drugs and alchole, or medication. My mother fell pregnant with my younger sister while she was on birth control, altho that was 17 years ago now so im sure they are better then what they where, but it still happens alot that woman are falling pregnant on the pill.

I got pregnant on the pill (we even used condoms). Sadly I miscarried. I then got pregnant with my son on the depo shot. Abstinence is the only thing that is 100% effective.

No Birth control is 100%, you have to back it up with practicing safe sex.

it's not whether or not it's strong enough, because there are always risks of getting pregnant.
The only 100% way of not getting pregnant is abstinence.
