Absolutely, my wife has gotten pregnant twice (once on the pill, once on the shot).
I should get a refund...

I had unprotected sex for two years and never got pregnant. I started the pill and took it every morning at 9:30 exactly. My boyfriend even used condoms. Guess what, I got pregnant! I miscarried at 12 weeks and shortly after met my husband. Before I met I joined the Navy and in boot camp started depo. I got when I was supposed to and was never late on getting it. I got pregnant with my son. It's normal but rare. Birth control is not 100% effective. I was that one in 500 statistic, not once but twice. That is normal because they expect to have that one in 500 or whatever the number is. I know that I'm not some freak of nature so those that are saying it's not normal honestly don't know what they are talking about. I'm pregnant again
Oh! I almost forgot. When I got pregnant with my son on depo, all of these women that I knew said they got pregnant on it too. One girl had three kids on it. There was also this family in my church with 7 kids. They used birth control every time she got pregnant.

Every month 1 woman out of 100 gets pregnant using birth control pills. 99% effective sounds awesome, until you realize you're the 1 out of 100 that month.

No. It is not normal. It's probably the most reliable birth control out there.......but the usesr must know what they are doing and follow the instructions. Any fluctuation from the regular instructions increases the chance of pregnancy.

Absoutely!! The percentage depends on what type of birth control you are using--I believe the pill is only 96-97% effective. The only 100% effective birth control is abstience.

it is not normal if you are using the birth control correctly however you have to remember that birth control is only 99% effective. Good Luck.

It is possible...alot of meds affect the effectiveness of BC...over the counter and doctor prescribed. Check with your pharmacy for drug interactions. Also keep in mind that the only 100% effective method of birth control is abstinence. So take extra precautions when having sex if you don't want a pregnancy or STD!

I got pregnant twice on birth control pills. Its very possible, esp if you dont take them properly, and they arent the right kind for your body.

well, if less than 1 percent of the time is normal, then yes. It happens, but quite rarely, as long as the protection is used properly. If its not,t he risk goes up quickly.
