If you're truly concerned, call your baby's pediatrician and ask him/her. My guess (after having two children who did the same thing occasionally) is that it's nothing to worry about. Babies are strange little creatures. They go through all kinds of fits and spurts while they're little, and usually they're harmless. I'm a little more laid back now, but with my first baby, he'd sneeze and I'd call his doctor. LOL Every time I called, they'd ask me the same damn questions: "Is he eating?" "Does he have a fever?" "Is he playful?" Yes, No, Yes. "Then he's OK!" And he always was. I'm sure your little girl is fine. Just sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet, because there will be PLENTY more days ahead where you'll wish she would sleep all day!

I have three children and it is normal because of her only being 9 weeks so is going threw a growing stage of her life and it is normal but if it happens to often then go get her check by your family doctor. My son actually has done that several times and now he's going to be 2 years old and is a big child tall for his age.

So far I have to agree with the laraelucas. If your baby is still voiding, and having bowel movements and eating, you don't have much to be concerned with. They do tend to sleep a lot if the room temperature is very warm. I also found that there is some truth to the saying,"She has her days and nights mixed up." you may have to play with her to keep her awake. Don't just leave her in the bassinet. Put her in her carseat, stroller or on a blanket on the floor and stimulate her. Colorful blocks, noisy toys, etc.

Either a growth spurt, new sleep pattern developing, or wasn't feeling well. Did she have any immunizations recently? My kids would sleep all day for a few days after that. Keep track and if it lasts more than a few days, take her to the dr.

My son is 4 months and some days it seems like he still sleeps all day. They are growing and that is normal for them to have days like that. They get worn out just from growing. If your baby shows any other signs of sickness or reactions to stimulation, then yes you should take her in, but know that babies still need a lot of rest. Good luck to you, God bless.

Don't worry about her sleeping all day. Babies do that, especially during growth spurts. What you need to watch for is if she is alert when she wakes.
If she is happy and acting normally, I wouldn't worry. If she starts doing it regularly, then just bring it up at the next doc visit.

Absolutely - she could very well be growing. Babies require a lot of sleep, and that is perfectly normal. If you see nay other symptoms that seem suspiciously incomsistent with her usual behavior, then take her to see the doctor. If she is eating and peeing and pooping as usual, let her sleep!

It is important to check for fever. Also since she is so young, just call the peditrcian and see what they say. Some babies go through growing spurts and they do sleep alot. But if your concerned enough to ask us, please be concerned enough to call the doctor. Better safe than sorry!
Good Luck!

It's typical for babies to sleep longer on Mondays because with everyone being home on the weekend they usually get less sleep because they don't want to miss anything this was just a topic of discussion concerning my grandson who likes to entertain on weekends but always likes to sleep on Mondays.

Mine did that every so often at the beginning. It's probably a growth spurt. As long as she doesnt have a temp and seems happy, I am sure it's fine.
