I sat with my friend at the ER all day yesterday. She took a preg. test over the weekend (3, actually) and all were positive. That night, she began bleeding. She had bled off and on since she came off of her pills. She began bleeding (heavier than just spotting), and it got worse the next morning (yesterday), so I took her to the hospital after her doctor stated that they could not fit her in and that she should go to the ER. The hospital staff stated that the hormone showed up in her blood test, but that nothing was observed in the ultrasound. The staff could not tell us anything except that she "might or might not be" pregnant. She saw her doctor this morning and was told that the hormone levels (around 33.7, I believe, had not changed, so she is scheduled to go again Friday to see what has changed. Has anybody experienced this gone on to have a normal pregnancy? At this rate, nobody knows if she is pregnant or miscarried, and we're worried. She's currently on bedrest.

I have scars on my sholders and some on my arms from cutting myself. I had done it when I was having a horrible time with an event that had happened. I could not tell anyone so I went to cutting myself. One of my friends saw them and accidently let it slip to another friend that I had cut myself. Now he thinks I am like suicidle and is telling people that I am like crazy. What can I do to clear my name, and tell these people there is nothing wrong with me?

that i had sexual experiences with other girls. i don't want her 2 knoe that im Bi. She found my myspace and it had comments from girls that i hooked up with. The comments said stuff like, "sex was reall good last nite" and "i love ur sexi body", and "can't wait 'til we DO IT again". What should i tell my mom. She didn't believe me when i lied and told her that they were kidding. Do u think i should just come clean and tell her? or keep lying so she doesn't find out? My daughter is 16 months old and isnt walking yet....she doesnt even stand on her own. She does crawl and can pull herself up as well as walk if you hold both her hands. Should I take her to the doctor? My other kids all walked at 12 months. My neighbors are all telling me somethings wrong :(

I still breastfeed my 1year old girl.She suddenly seems to have lost interest in nursing. Its not that my milk quantity has gone down,.She turns her face as soon as i take her to the breasts for feeding.But she is eating other solid foods like cereals, cookies etc. Just she doesnt want to breastmilk.I tried to breastfeed when she is asleep & she started taking. i dont know why she is doing like this.
Is this something to worry.

I see a LOT of holier-than-thou parents in real life, and elsewhere, preach about all this QT one is supposed to have with one whose attention span rivals a forest creature. I'm asking, if the child is in no obvious distress and is happy, or resting, should the parent fix a sandwich for his or herself if they are hungry? Is it cool to do a few loads of laundry, or maybe even take out some garbage or check your e-mail if baby is on her mat playing with blocks? Or, is this child abuse and neglect? Should the parent just fix their presence before the child with insta-bond and leave only to put baby in their crib for bedtime/naps? If so, where do they sell IV's for parents and are there new robots issued out to parents at the hospital that cook, take out trash, do the wash, and etc? Just wondering...I never got my issue or my IV (still looking), and I feel like a bad parent because she gets stuck (gasp) watching TV sometimes while I throw a grilled cheeze together for myself.

Today, I was in the lunch room and the girl in front of me walked back and my spaghetti went all over my clothes! I didnt have any extra clothes to wear and didnt want to wear my gym clothes. I realize that sometimes babies just naturally won't breastfeed. Are the mothers who decide not to breastfeed without even trying it or trying it but giving up quickly selfish? I think that it is extremely selfish of them since breastmilk is the best thing for their baby. What do you think? Selfish or not to not breastfeed or give up on it?
