A male condom or any is enough from preventing a pregnancy. Like of a lot of answers staying a virgin is the best way. I don't want to be labeled as a supporter of having sex but I will give my advice to those who feel like they are ready. Now if you feel that you are ready, contact your doctor and keep it private and confidential and ask about certain birth control methods. In my opinion the best control method that is very simple and may not cause severe complications is the patch. many females may choose the pill. But I feel that the patch is better when beginning to have sex. If not you and your doctor can discuss what's the best for you and healthy for your body. Good Luck!!!!

A male condom, when used correctly can prevent pregnancy, but in case that the male is quite unexperienced/nervous/careless, it can be dangerous.
For example, trying to put the condom, finding out that it is the wrong way, turning it and using it anyway. Even before eyaculation some sperma may be at the male genital organs.
A condom is a good method for avoiding venereal diseases. Everybody speaks about aids, but there are a LOT of other venereal diseases.
The best method is combine two contraceptive methods:
Pill and condom
Condom and spermizide spray
Condom and diafragma
and so on.

Obviously the only 100% way of not getting pregnant is not to have sex BUT you want to look at using the pill (or other female method of choice) and a condom for comprehensive birth control. There is always going to be a chance of getting pregnant while using only one method but by using both you reduce those chances even more. You also have the Depo shot, an IUD, the Ortho Nuva ring, etc... but remember you want to prevent pregnancy and STD's at the same time so a condom is always a good option to add to other methods. With pregnancy you have a child for life with some STD's you can lose your life.

Condom is the best, but since you are a virgin, then the latex may cause a problem. It did for my girlfriend and me (our size difference, since she is Asian and I am white, caused her a lot of pain and much of that was pulling by the condom), and she wasn't a virgin. Use a lot of lube, i.e. KY Jelly or some such thing. Just go to the condom area in the grocery store or drug store and they have such things there. Good lubrication will cut down on pain. The pill is bad for you as it has been proven to increase your chance of cancer. Condoms are around 98% effective. It's the easiest, cheapest and safest thing to use, plus, it helps keep you from getting STDs. Good luck and have fun.
Also, don't listen to these people telling you to stay a virgin. Sex is fun and I partly wish I hadn't waited so long. If you really love your boyfriend, then go for it and have fun, but be sure to use a condom, absolutely, or else the consequences make it not fun anymore. Smile and have a great day. Life is too short to not enjoy.

No. Use birth control pills from your doctor if your family has no history of heart disease/ clots and you DO NOT smoke. Take the pills at the same time everyday and still use a condom to prevent STDs and prevent pregnancy (in case you dont take the pill perfectly which most women dont, meaning you forget a pill here and there or dont remember to take it the same time everyday.)

The best way of birth control is to stay a virgin.I have a 16 yr old babysitter that was telling me how she got pregnant. She says she was a virgin and had known her boyfriend for 2 years. She gave in and finally had sex with him using a condom. She was late for her next period and found out she was pregnant after having sex with him only 1 time. She confronted her boyfriend with the news and he told her that he fiqured she was because he pinched a hole in the end of the condom before they had sex.He said he loved her and wanted to get her pregnant so that they could get married.5 1/2 months later she went to his house and caught him in bed with a 14 yr old girl.He called her a slut and fat ugly whore and said he never wanted to see her again and claimed the child she was carrying was not his.
Be wise and not end up like this girl.Never trust a guy with a condom alone, even if you arre in love with him and have known him for a long time.
Good luck on your choices

Birth control and condoms don't always protect you from getting pregnant. i know this girl who got pregnant even though her boy-friend wore a condom. A condom can break. I think she was also on birth control. My point is stay a virgin.

As almost everyone else has said, abstinence. It protects you from pregnancy as well as STDs. From a moral standpoint, it is also the best option. I definitely wish I had waited until I got married. Yeah, it feels good, but to share yourself with the person who truly completes you as opposed to just somebody you may not be with next week, is even better. Everytime you sleep with someone, you are giving a part of yourself away. Don't wake up one day and find yourself with nothing.

It's not 100% safe. Nothing is 100% safe except abstinence. Of course, condoms do reduce the risk of pregnancy by a lot.

abstinence--requires no birth control. A condom is at best 85% effective. Remember this, you can only give your virginity once. How will you explain your sexual activity to the man you choose to marry. That is the one gift you can give to him that no one else can give (it works the same for guys). Sexual activity will lead to pregnancy--I guarantee it.
