There's no guarantee to not getting pregnant besides abstinence. Also, most young ladies are very "easy" to get pregnant when they have sex for the first time...
I suggest that you go to a local clinic and get on the Birth Control Pill before u decide to actually lay down with that "lucky young man". The pill still isn't 100% safe, but it's more effective than just using a condom, or even "pulling out".
Wateva u decide to do, make sure that u r ready for it...and don't do it with just anybody. U'll regret it later.

Not having sex is the ONLY way to GUARANTEE no pregnancy. Condoms, pills, patch, pull out method, they ALL lead to a baby as well as DISEASE. Your boyfriend could be an AIDS carrier and not even know it. There's a reason why we used to have to take medical exams before getting married. The most innocent person can have a disease they can live with forever, but could kill you in a week.
If you don't care about being a single mom, the guilt of giving your child away, killing a baby before it has a chance or dying from a disease, then just have sex without ANY protection at all, might as well feel good before your life ends.

No offense, but if you are asking this, then you are probably NOT ready for sex! Of course it is also good that you are trying to find out the right thing to do to protect yourself...but the REAL question should be what do I do to protect myself from HIV/STDs...something that Americans seem to keep overlooking with the sex issue. A baby would not be the END of the world, but an incurable disease that ultimately leads to death could. Anyway, you really should be going to a health clinic or talking to a sex ed couselor to see if you are really ready. BUT condoms are a MUST. Do not be fooled. Though nothing can offer you 100% protection except abstinence, they are the next best thing.

every time you have sex you have chance of getting pregnant. You could go on birth control and he can wear a condem but there is still a small 1% chance of still getting pregnant. Safest way not to get pregnant is not to have sex and i know that is not what you want to hear cause i have the same thoughts. i want to be with a guy but i no willing to have sex with him if i dont want to have him in my life forever.

No method is 100% safe except DON"T DO IT. Even if you use protection, plan on getting pregnant, because you can. I've known ladies on all of the different methods. They all wound up pregnant (not by me...I abstained)
Sex isn't just something to do...if a guy is pressuring you to do it, move on...

BIRTH CONTROL, however you must complete one month of a full cycle of birth control pills, the shot has to be given within seven days of the last day of your last period, but foremost also, PLEASE PRACTICE SAFE SEX. I don't know how old you are, but your virginity is sacred, so don't just give it away. When you choose to engage in sexual relations, that's a huge irresponsibility and there are too many birth control methods to prevent pregnancies, because we have a three year old and day care is 185 per week, just be safe and make sure this is what you want to do and not something you're doing to please someone else Birth control, self control and out of control, please exercise the first two.

Abstain from having sex, especially if you don't know how to take proper precautions to not get pregnant. If you are going to have sex regardless then I would check into birth control and definitely use condoms....

Use several methods of birth control at the same time, like the pill and a condom. Best to be super sure, because no method is 100% safe.

I've gotten pregnant on the pill while using condoms and I've gotten pregnant on depo. If you don't want to get pregnant, don't have sex. It's much when saved for marriage, I wish I'd done that. Remember, it's not just pregnancy you have to be careful about. Don't forget about AIDs, chlamydia, herpes, etc. It's very dangerous to have sex nowadays so please, be careful.
