Can you get pregnant if your tubes are tied? That sounds like a better question-not as graphic anyhow. There is always a chance of pregnancy, not matter what methods are used to prevent it. It is not very likely that you will get pregnant if your tubes are tied but it is possible. I think there is less than 1% chance of getting pregnant.

I hate to disappoint almost everyone that has answered but YES YOU CAN.

My mother had hers cut, tied and burned after my youngest brother, 22. I have a 19 year ols sister!! The doctor said he had no idea how she got pregnant because her tubal was done perfectly. He also said it is like a 1 in 2,000,000 occurance or something like that.

I don't mean to scare you but it is possible.

Very unlikely never seen it in 35 years of practice, even though some cases have been published, probably due to a faulty surgical technique, other than the one that you`ve described in your question.

Yes and No. If you dont have sex and move around right after so that the tubes heal right then No. But it has bee know very low chances that it could.

Yes if it was done improperly, or they arent completely blocked off. Best thing to do is use an IUD (reversible contraceptive that sits in the uterus and is more effective than surgery). US brand out now is called Mirena.

This can happen, but it's very rare. Sometimes the body finds ways to reconnect the tubes.

Not a chance, darlin!

House87 - That is true, but only applies if your tubes were simply tied, Not cut, tied & BBQ'd!

CUT,TIED,AND BURNED I WOULD SAY THAT THE ODDS OF YOU FALLING OFF OF AN AIRPLANE AND SURVIVING ARE MORE LIKELY. BUT SERIOUSLY WHEN THAT PROCEDURE IS DONE THERE IS NO REVERSAL,UNLIKE JUST GETTING YOUR TUBES TIED AND THEN HAVING THEM UNTIED THERE'S NO REVERSAL FOR THEM BEING BURNED OFF.

I have had my tubes tied, and my OB/GYN told me it's not 100 percent. However, it's been five years (and a lot of enthusiastic lovemaking) and no problems yet.
