I was wondering about any factors that can influence your child sex? For example, diet at time of conception, timing of conception, position etc....

Do these things matter???

Well ive heard friend my bio teacher that timeing of conception might have somthing to do with it because sperm can live in a female for seveal days and apparently 1 genders sperm is fast but dosnt live as long so you would wanna have sex as close to ovulation as possible and another gender is slower but can live longer so you would want to have sex before ovulation

I do not remember which is which and she did not say it as a fact just as somthing shes heard so dosnt take it to be 100% accurate

youll have to look up which is which by yourself

I know position and diet have nothing to do with it gender is decided by the sperm no other factors go into if if it has XX chromosones its femal XY its male thats all there is to it

I don't think there is anything you can do about it. There are a lot of suggestions out there like if you want a boy, deep penetration is best and if you want a girl positions such as missionary will get the job done. I don't think there's any proof to support these, but it doesn't hurt to try them does it? Besides boy or girl, as long as the the baby is healthy does the gender really matter?

Not really. Sorry. You can try looking around online for stuff, but it basically comes down to genetics. And it would be up to the guy anyway. Women only carry X chromosomes, men's sperm are the ones that determine the sex of the baby. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be happy with either one!

I read an article on line that talks about the acidity of the vagina and if he ejaculates before she does you are more likely to have a girl and if she orgasms before he does she acidity of the vagina changes and it states that a boy is more likely. Sory I don't have the site but I found it doing a search for fertility and conception.

the childs sex is usually determined by the fathers sperm and some people do believe that certain actions will predetermine sex but nothing is proven. Its a pure 50/50 chance.

I heard that if you have sex right before your ovulation you'll be more likely to have a girl because they are slower swimmers and if you want a boy then to do it right when you ovulate. Just a wives tale. There's nothing you can do to make a boy or a girl, it's chance.

closer to ovulation you will have a boy male sperm swim faster and therfore die off faster, farther out from ovulation you will have a girl female sperm live up to five days so the window is a little longer. I believe I got the info on webMD.

Not through those means, but you can in a fertility clinic. They can separate the X and Y sperm. I believe that it is quite costly though because of the equipment and labor involved.
