TEL AVIV — U.S. and Israeli defense officials are hammering out details of a potential $1.2 billion arms sale to the Israel Air Force
http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?F=3068953&C=mideast

I think this is wonderful news! Friends are supposed to help friends. And Israel is a true friend indeed!

Perhaps this fortells an upcoming military incursion into Iran, perchance? One can only hope. Heaven knows it's LONG overdue!

They certainly can't attack the substance of it. They have nothing less than ad hominem attacks. Just like they did to Paula Jones and Linda Tripp. Dragging these women down in the mud and ridiculing their God given feminine beauty. Shame on the left.

BAGHDAD - The number of American troops and Iraqi civilians killed in the war fell in September to levels not seen in more than a year. The U.S. military said the lower count was at least partly a result of new strategies and 30,000 additional U.S. forces deployed this year.

Although it is difficult to draw conclusions from a single month's tally, the figures could suggest U.S.-led forces are making headway against extremist factions and disrupting their ability to strike back.

If you are going to answer this question with some pointless rant or insult, please take your hostility elsewhere. I am asking a serious question, and if you can't handle it, that's your problem, not mine. And mindless responses just reveal that the responder is incompetent. The question is 'why does the American media call the radical muslims who attack Americans and Iraqis 'insurgents' while they never refer to U.S. military or private contractors 'insurgents.' The U.S. invaded Iraq first, after all. Not only that, the U.S. government called its increase in troop deployments a 'surge' which is taken straight from the word 'insurgency.' What the radical muslims are doing in Iraq is disgusting as far as I'm concerned, but why not call a spade a spade?

It is a collection of documents translated into English by Ibrahim, who is a researcher in the Near East Division of the Library of Congress. Most of these documents have not been widely read in the West, mainly because they are intended for muslims in the middle east. Interestingly, these documnets contain few references to Zionism, Bush's "Crusade," malnourished Iraqi children - all of those 'reasons' AL-Qaeda lists in its messages to the West on why they are carrying out Jihad

Instead, they were filled with countless Koranic verses, hadiths (traditions attributed to the Prophet Muhammad), and the consensus and verdicts of Islam's most authoritative voices.

A must read.

Seriously - it's out of control, I live in Iowa, and I've gotten three calls tonight. At the end of a hard day of work, I don't want to listen to the bull the politicians are pushing.

I'll decide who I'm voting for next November. Do I have to put up with this garbage for a year?
