The Republican party is the big tent party. The true power brokers in the Republican party are up in the big house though, laughing their azzes off at how they have fooled their gullible supporters who are naively standing in the big tent.
p.s. Hannity and Rushbo get to drink pink lemonade on the front porch of the big house for spewing the Republican talking points and fomenting hate of any whose opinions differ from their own.

Of course you can...why not? I am pro-life, but it's not my right to push that on someone else.
I live my life the way I want, and I'll choose the candidate that best fits my ideologies, just like you and everyone else.
Your question poses that you must meet a 100% 'accross the board', point for point meeting of Republican doctrine to be a Rebublican. I don't see the same of Democrats...why don't you ask them?

I am so anti-abortion I hope I don't have to. Of course, there are no Democratic candidates to vote for either. It looks like this year will defiantly be a true voting for the lesser of two evils. I will have to go with my candidate unless some wonder person happens to decide to run and has a chance of winning.

Being pro life is just one issue of many for republicans. I will admit that it is an important one. In the primaries we will support the most conservative one and let the chips fall where they may. But in the general election if it comes down to Clinton versus Giuliani (for example) we will do anything to keep the socialist Ms. Rodham-Clinton out of the White House. For me it will be holding my nose and pulling the lever.

I have no problem supporting a Republican who is not pro-life. Its far better than supporting a Democrat that is anti-American.

Being a republican is about what you support and who you feel best reflects that. Religous dogma and the extreme right's attempt to portray anything they disagree with as RINO should not affect your choices.
