I thought liberals were against the death penalty.

The "market" drove prices up and people had electric bills of over 1000 dollars, and its clear these were inflated energy prices.

Perhaps government should be involved, to protect the consumer.

The Terrorists have hit London, Spain, Bali and others but because of George W. Bush's policies;

Wire Taps
Patriot Act
Cuba Prison Camps
Fighting them over there....so we don't have to fight them over here.

The terrorists have not been able to strike America on her own soil.

Thanks GWB!

High school drop-outs, please note: this is not an opinion poll or multiple choice test. Adults are required to state a reason for their opinion. Grow up!

(1) The Kurds have about 20 % of the population of Iraq and about 20% of all the oil. All they want is their independence. They will attack nobody. With our troops on their borders, Turkey and Iran would not dare to attack Kurdistan.

(2) The Shi'ites have over 60 % of the population and about 80% of all the oil. They control the government and the army and the national police. We have been arming and trainig them for several years. They are being secretly helped by Iran. Through their militias, they are pushing the Sunnis out of the Baghdad region in spite of our efforts to stop them.

(3) The Sunnis have less than 20% of the population and none of the oil. From 1924 to 2003, they had all the guns and all the oil and kept the Kurds and the Shi'ites in poverty.

I have several friends that are "one issue" voters. They are pro-life and refuse to vote for anyone that is not also pro-life.

So...they vote for these folks that claim to be pro-life and then they get into office and do not do a single thing about it (which, of course, makes me happy!). These candidates shout about being pro-life during the elections, gain the support of the religious right, and then do NOTHING about it once they get in office........(Except, of course giving tax breaks to their wealthy pals while abandoning the "salt of the earth" folks that they preyed on with their lies about taking pro-life actions.)

And they do this over and over and over again.....and the pro-life voters never wise up to the fact that they are being used.....

How come?

"A day that will live in infamy..."

What a historic speech that was, after the Japense attacked Pearl harbor. Everyone knew exactly what was meant by "remember Pearl harbor".

However, what the heck do Americans mean when they say "never forget" during the anniversary of 911? I must admitt, when I hear people blabbering this hollow expression, followed by silence and confusion, it just drives me nuts.

At least the "great generation" was willing to face the enemy and call the enemy "the enemy". In America, we cant even do that...we just say "never forget" and pretend like someone knows what the heck that means or what specifically we are supposed to be remembering.

Almost all armed conflict worldwide is Islamic, this is not rocket science...its very plain to see who and what the enemy is, yet we just dont have the courage to speak it.

We are weak weak weak weak......

what I mean is they clearly have had an agenda to change the USA drastically for some years now.....and if you listen to them our judges have been awful, our trade policies of the past were awful, balance budgets were awful, balance trading was awful, jobs here for americans was awful, government investing in our infrastructure was awful, food inspections was awful, import inspections was awful, our avoidance of war was awful, social security was awful,

see what I mean? I mean if you listen to conservatives, its like the USA was a failed state and they have been for the last decade trying to save it. But look at where conservative thinking and republican policies have taken us....

police protection, fire services, roads and transport services, a military, etc be paid for through taxes. Surely these are not basic human rights.

Why don't conservatives want people to pay private insurance for roads, police forces, fire services, the military, nuclear weapons, parks, schools, libraries, beaches, and every other dam thing that taxes are spent on?

What makes a police force more important than health? What makes roads more important than health?

After listening to his testimony and comments from troops on the ground, there seems to be a glimmer of hope to a secure conclusion to the strife in Iraq.
The U.S. counter insurgency methods seem to be having a positive effect in the region. Does his timeline for the draw down of troops seem reasonable?
Of course the million dollar question is: Will the Iraqi government get their act together during that time?

Neither of them has any more credibility whatsoever. The General handled them quite easily, however their attempts to discredit him, in wartime, before his report was released, for no other reason other than political gain, brings utter shame to a once great party. This is perhaps the lowest point the democrats have reached in the history of their party. The most disgusting thing about it is that they feel no shame whatsoever. JFK, Harry Truman and Franklin Roosevelt must all be turning over in their graves with humiliation at what has happened since they were in power. The Democrat party, which was once the inspiring party that brought us through the great depression and WWII has been stolen from the American people without a shot being fired, and the sad fact is that through miseducation and indifference, most of them are not even aware of this shameful fact.

I think that if we ever really wanted to find Osama Bid Ladin we would have found him by now.

Is it possible that the USA could be hiding him in a retreat somwhere like in Cambodia or some other country, just so we could continue to keep the US military bases in the Middle-East? If Osama Bin Ladin were captured or killed, we really woudn't have any excuses to remain in the Middleeast.
