I, for one, share your opinion. We may not have it 100% correct but we try harder and work the hardest to be as good as we can be. I love the USA and am very proud to be an American.

despite the fact that my ancestors are Norwegian and that i by some skill experience satisfaction in understanding their united states is in such good situation i won't ignore the reality that the extreme score is on the price of united statesa.. Norway is a impartial united states and as such has a nonexistent protection budget. The Norwegians can pass to sleep at night totally conscious that if, for despite reason, their united states substitute into in threat united statesa. might come to their help. If united statesa. had the posh of spending the trillions of dollars eaten up by its protection needs on indoors classes what a shrine it may be. there is an previous asserting,"The extra issues substitute, the extra issues proceed to be the comparable" that describes the easy actuality of conflict. there is yet another Joseph Stalin, yet another Adolph Hitler, yet another Saddam Hussien, yet another Ghengis Khan even a George Bush growing to be up magnificent now with grasping eyes that covet what their neighbor has. Karl Marx theorized according to hazard wisely concerning the tensions between the "haves" and the "have nots". Congratulations to the international locations chosen using fact the final places to stay interior the international. On behalf of the yank people who've made the international secure adequate for you spend your money on issues different than weapons of conflict, you're welcome. And thank you for spending your money properly.

Well that is debatable.
During World War 2, The United Kingdom used up all resources defending smaller countries, to over throw the dictatorship of Nazi Germany, asking the USA to come and help as this was a global issue. Nothing... Then strangely they decide to help towards the end.
Then when UK asks the USA for some funding to rebuild Great Britain the USA said no.... Why should they help rebuild their country, its Britains Fault for being so close Germany that they got bombed.
Then they eventually give britain a mortgage, America has the deeds to the UK, and we borrow 4 Bn Dollars to rebuild UK.
The UK then lives on Rations for years after the war, and The cost of living much higher, while america has a 35 hour week, in britain we are scraping 49 - 53 hours a week.
The pay is lousy, and houses cost too much. We eventually pay this debt off in 2006, and still the UK is almost a third world country.
America gets hit by a wave of terrorism, and Britain comes to help right away. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE GREATEST COUNTRY..
THE LITTLE GUY WHO WAS $H!T ON COMES TO HELP!

of course I agree not better, but we have helped many other countries out with little or not thanks, usually they double cross us.
I love this country and the people even the nutty extreme people who complain about conspiracies and government people who don't realize how good we have it in this country. They couldn't do that with out the freedom we have and they know that. I would not want to live anywere else.
I will always love the United States and will never turn against it, even if I didn't like their elected leaders, I didn't turn against it when Clinton was in office, the only thing bad about this country is the people who turn against it because their politics are more important to them than their country.
see the comment below for an example of that.

We have a ton of problems, but yes, America is still the best the world has ever seen. America has given more opportunities to more diverse people to improve their lot in life than any other nation EVER and it still does.
But the liberty we need to defend is our own. It is NOT our responsibility to try to remake the world in our image, even if it were possible.

Thank you for your opinion. Do you care about anyone else's opinion or are you just interested in giving out yours?
Quite frankly I believe the USA, with all her faults, is, always has been, and always will be the greatest country ever to exist on earth.

Right now we are the greatest military power and the greatest economic powerhouse in the world.
We are not a light,a shining beacon on the hill or any other of that claptrap. We don't get it right most of the time when we try to interfere and run the world.
The only freedoms and liberties we have a right(and a duty) to defend are our own.
There are many countris with a track record a lot worse than ours but that doesn't mean that we are uniquely good as you seem to suggest. The world has seen the likes of us before and will continue to do so if we don't destroy it.

I work with people from 22 different countries who have come here to live and work (legally). They think we are the best.
I have traveled to 8 other countries, some for extended visits, and while those countries (Canada, Mexico, England, Ireland, Scotland, Russia, Poland and Hungary) were all wonderful, I still think that the USA is the greatest country in the world. Perfect? No. But great anyway.
