General Petraus is not telling the Democrats what they want. He is not a doom and gloom defeatist.

Because they did not get what they wanted....just like when generals spoke out against Bush's ideas they were dismissed.

So both sides do it, both sides are so full of that it is no longer even mildly amusing.

The Republicans said "Vote for us or you will all be killed by terrorists" and that worked.
Then Democrats said "vote for us and we will end the war" and that worked
The Republicans always release info that Al Queda is now at 75 million members all armed with nukes and bio-weapons whenever they have a vote on the Surge or the troops in Iraq.....the Democrats then show all the deaths and worst pictures they can drudge up to get their vote on bringing troops home.

This is one big game of tug of war between these 2 scumbag, dooshbag parties that no longer care about America but their own power.

So to sum up it is not just one party that is the problem here...they are both equally as stupid, ineffective and vile

Let's face it, the Democrats won Congress in 2006 by a total anti-administration campaign. They politicized the War in Iraq to get elected. And anyone who cannot see that is blind.

So, we are coming into the next election. Once again, the War is the card to play. Divide and conquer is the mentality, because winning elections has become more important than defeating our enemies.

It was at first their attempt to get rid of Rumsfield, which was done. I think they were a bit surprised their target left so they refocused their slime campaign towards the generals. The dems. are making themselves honorary members of Nickelodeon.
