Liberals and conservatives just want their side to win. If it means they have to take out a few hundred thousand Iraqis or 4 thousand American troops, thems the breaks.

Politics is like sports. Voters, these days, are just rooting for one side. Nobody is thinking about implications, they just want to feel like they're part of a winner.

EDIT::: You're brave coming into the politics section, man.

I think both sides like to accuse the other of hating our troops but I have yet to meet anyone personally that has anything but praise and concern for our soldiers. The sides differ about how our troops should be used in this conflict if used at all but only the nuts turn disagreeing about a plan into hating the troops. Unfortunately allot of nuts get to talk on TV and Radio.

I am a liberal, I dont want our troops to lose or die. I want them home or at least out of Iraq. Keeping the peace in Korea on the Parallel is one thing. Trying to fight guerillas in thier country is something else. Pull out all troops in 2 months, leave a tolken force to train Iraqi's for 6-8 months and pull them out too.

The general consensus of American opinion is that the troops are doing a fantastic job given the circumstances under which they are placed. It is not their fault that they have a totally corrupt and incompetent commander-in-chief. I have nothing against the troops in Iraq. I have nothing but contempt for the administration that put them thee.

Supporting the troops and their mission in no way is equal to hating the troops.

And not all liberals hate the troops.

Just a small section of the " I hate Bush" wing of their group do.

Neither side in general hates the troops. That is just political banter. Each side, and I mean the extreme of each side would like to portry the other side as hating the troops. That is politics.

As a conservative, I think your question is a disgrace to America and all of our troops. Have you ever talked to a solider to see how they felt about the war. I bet not! You have no clue how they feel about the job they are doing over there and as a conservative I support them. Now that we are there we need to stay and finish.

If we leave don't you think that we would be forgetting about the people who gave their lives over there. Their life would have been sacrificed for nothing.

I don't think either side hates our troops. They may disagree on how they should be used but both sides support them and want them to protect us and also to come home alive and well.
