Even if you do not agree with the war in Iraq, the threat of terrorism in this world is very very real. There are people out there who want to kill and it does not matter to them what side of the political fence you fall on.

So how do we confront this threat?

Just because someone is rich and famous, does that give them the right to point out there political views..... no matter how stupid they are? What about the poor homeless bum, who may have all the answers, but no one will listen to him because he is a homeless bum. It seems only the rich and powerful get elected into office, or have thier voice heard. Would you vote for someone who had the money to run a good campaign, (i.e. a rich spoiled brat.) or someone who has had a hard life and knows what it is like to be the little man?

.
war on terror?
Bush speaks today to the Coast Guard about some 2005 Osama tape 'proving' that Osama wants to do some terrible deed in US in 2007.
He's also approved thousands more US combat troops to Iraq by the end of the year(on top of the 30,000 he started his "surge" with. )
This is a seriously manipulative administration.

Stewart M. Powell, Hearst Newspapers
May 22, 2007PDT Washington --
The Bush administration is quietly on track to nearly double the number of combat troops in Iraq this year, an analysis of Pentagon deployment orders showed Monday.
The little-noticed second surge, designed to reinforce U.S. troops in Iraq, is being executed by sending more combat brigades and extending tours of duty for troops already there. The actions could boost the number of combat soldiers from 52,500 in early January to as many as 98,000 by the end of this year if the Pentagon overlaps arriving & departing combat troops.

Was it fought because the South Seceded from the Union, and the Union wanted it's land back?

Was it fought over slavery?

Was it a states rights issue?

In school, history classes always emphasized that it was fought over slavery. Why do you think America had a Civil War?

It seems to be not worth the lives of our soldiers. I'm not seeing the good in all of this. This is not to offend our soldiers in the military as I have family currently enlisted. Thank you.

Just like the Kevin Bacon game, are any of you six people away from the president or less? For example, my friends grandfather worked in washington and worked directly and was friends with George Bush, and obviously George Bush knows his son the President. So I am 4 degrees of separation from the president. what about you?

It's not much better in Canada. There was a story in yesterday's paper about a guy who had part of his skull removed after an accident to relieve pressure on his brain. One year later, he's still on a wait-list to get his skull fixed. He can't leave his house because there is a hole in his head.

I think he was the President Of The United States, but only for a few hours.

Many consitiutional experts agree that the VP does not require swearing in to become President, should the President not be able to continue being President. While not the VP, Atchison was next in line and therefore could automatically have been the President.

What do you think?
