The more we fight in Iraq the more entangled we become. The Bush Administration has painted us into a corner where there are no good options. This is insanity. No amount of oil is worth all the blood that has been spilled over there. Even Br'er Rabbit was smarter than that.

I'm taking a Mass Communication & Journalism class in college right now, & one of the subjects that came up was terrorism. When you think of a terrorist (most people, not all) the most common type of person will be someone from the Middle East. But according to the defenition(s), wouldn't the US be considered terrorists?

The US has defined terrorism under the Federal Criminal Code:

activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and… (C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States… [or] (C) occur primarily outside the territorial jurisdiction of the US

It was a good topic & I want to know what you think

The current core beliefs of the 2 parties tend to support either extreme conservatism or extreem liberalism, it's all very black or white. While the reality is that most of our people live in a much more gray world that employees a balance of both view points. If we are truely a representative democracy what will it take for our political leaders to become much more of a mirror of our views and our lives?

Welcome to the Republican Party...

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself a very liberal Democrat and was very much in favor of redistribution of wealth. She was ashamed that her father was a staunch Republican.

Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes and the addition of more government welfare programs. He responded by asking her how she was doing in school. She answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, with no time to go out and party like other students. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend. Her father listened and then asked, "How "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA She is so popular on campus, college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.

"Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your 4.0 GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree! She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican Party"

right through Hillary and Company?
I hear her mouth on the radio say things like she will work toward more affordable insurance rates and lower gas prices, etc.

Liberal failures that you should have learned from...

Click It or ticket! They said that insurance companies would lower their rates if people were forced to wear seat belts. I am forced to wear my seat belt and my insurance goes up every year even with no tickets or accidents.

They said for years that having more fuel efficient vehicles will cause oil prices to fall. Well, we have more fuel efficient vehicles than ever and guess what?!

They say that stricter gun laws will dramatically decrease violent crime. D.C. has the strictest gun laws of any city in the U.S. ... and now has the most murders AND violent crime per capita of any city in the U.S.

Feel free to add to my list...

It seems like our politicians do whatever they want, they're easily 'swayed' to vote for something by padded bills that offer funding for stupid little pet projects. Why do we allow this to continue? We elect people who don't represent what we as Americans want. WHY? How can we stop this?

You have to figure a socialist is only going to go where there is an advantage, not where there are people she deems below her efforts. Wow, what a great characteristic of a President.

The issue is not the report, but look at the American responses, they are telling ABC that they are aiding and abetting our enemies.

Rosie was fired because we went to the advertisers, not sure who put that list together but we need to do it again for all of ABC.

And for all the "useful idiots" that deny there is a war on terror, the terrorists are coming, just hope you or your family are not in the path

We know none of them are going to vote republican when it's the democrats who give them welfare, free healthcare, etc - coming from MY paycheck that I work VERY hard to receive, by the way.
Am I the only one who doesn't see this whole illegal immigration issue as a sure way for the democrats to ensure they always win elections in the future?
How can we allow this absurdity to continue, especially when we deny visas to HARD WORKING people from other countries who HAVE JOBS and contribute to our economy & make our country better as a whole? It seems ridiculous!

Geese are supposed to all start practising formations to fly south at the end of the summer - They are supposed to be gone by mid September -

They didn't go - most stayed here all winter and it was strangely warm - all year with the exception of a few snow storms etc it was far above normal

That increase in temps - sure seems like it is becoming the norm

The squirrels also have had 2 extra set of babies because of this warming change -

So if it isn't global warming then why is it that migratory birds guided by instinct who have wintered in the US for hundreds if not thousands of years stayed home this year ?

Please give me a quick response.

I'll be the first........no way should we leave because of what would happen if we did. Can you say "terrorist haven?" Also, I have more faith in our troops than faith in the American media.

Coming home makes no sense. I can't even imagine the chaos and I certainly can't understand how anyone could support it.

So please, enlighten me.

And don't even get me going on a "troop withdrawal timetable." Either we leave or stay.....there's no middle compromise with leaving a war. I can't even believe grown-ups could support that.

Over the years I have watched the fields at night around were I live and in that time I hvae noticed that there seems thats the ancient sport of sheep shagging has began to flourish and now even young boys are participating in a once frowned upon sport. All over the counrty sheep are being moved to more accessable places to the public some places are even moving enough sheep for every man and boy in the settlement to the center of town and sheepdoms are begin sold over the counter to any keen man or child that wants to have sex with a local sheep. As a result of this uprise in sheeps shagging in urban and rural area's people all over the counrty have taken up arms and have propesed a movement to amke sheep shagging a professional sport up there with football and tennis and one has to wonder how would you make a game out of shagging sheep? The Gulf of Tonkin? all False Flag operations. Yet sheeple have no ability to think for themselves anymore. To question Authority. Do you think this is what the Fore Fathers had in mind?
