Click It or ticket! They said that insurance companies would lower their rates if people were forced to wear seat belts. I am forced to wear my seat belt and my insurance goes up every year even with no tickets or accidents.
They said for years that having more fuel efficient vehicles will cause oil prices to fall. Well, we have more fuel efficient vehicles than ever and guess what?!
They say that stricter gun laws will dramatically decrease violent crime. D.C. has the strictest gun laws of any city in the U.S. ... and now has the most murders AND violent crime per capita of any city in the U.S.

I read this from AP recently "Hillary Rodham Clinton voted Wednesday to advance legislation cutting off money for the Iraq war, then refused to pledge to support the measure if it came to a vote, then said she would."
Scary how bad democratic candidates are acting. No ethics at all. All government is messed up now. You mentioned the promises and unseen benefits from insurance, chemical, and I would include medical, education, and drug companies. Why so many promises and no benefits only corruption? These bills are created by the companies and lobbied to DC. That’s where we need to stand as a nation and stop the temptations and subsequent corruption that it creates.
On gun laws…… It is proven that gun laws create less guns in the hands of good people and more in the hands of bad people. Period. No one I don’t care what your view can argue that fact. The results that will happen in this situation you can decide.
I know what I feel will happen. The gun "the derringer" was known as the gentleman’s gun. This is because during this time almost everyone even many women would carry one of these easy to hide small guns about 3" x 2" I think? Now we all know how nuts some people get eh? Well that era was known as a time when people showed each other more respect than, well I don’t know since when, maybe ever? Who knows I forget. But these are facts and makes sense.

Why stop at Hillary and company? Don't forget her buddies Beelzebush, Cheney, et al. Remocrats and Depublicans are all the same, obey the same masters and follow the same game plan.
The voting system is a farce in America. "Let the people think they govern, and they shall be governed.
Anyone who believes their lies, they figure, deserves to be suckered. And if you actually use your right to free speech to dissent, there are many ways you can be shut down. Oooh, I forgot, you don't have "free speech" any more! Dissent is now considered "treason". It used to be "patriotic". My my what a difference that little piece of paper has made in America.
Regarding fuel. Please read the attitude of the Elite regarding fuel prices.
"Fuel Prices. Fuel prices in the United States are over $3/ gal now. There is absolutely no logical reason for it. It is a continued rape of the public by corporations under the N.W.O. In fact, President Bush has agreed to be more cooperative with the EU and their product restrictions.
The call to boycott gasoline purchases on May 15 will do absolutely nothing to change the situation. People will simply fuel their vehicles the day before or the day after. Exxon and Mobil will lose nothing, nor do they even care about what you think of gas prices. They laugh at such demonstrations.
In 2005, while watching TV news in Singapore, I saw an interview with a French global fuel expert. He stated quite frankly that he knew that the US had a large stockpile of gasoline that could last easily several more years, even if there was no more production. This shows that the current increases in pricing is an artificial manipulation designed to enrich the ones who made it so.
What the public should do is generally reduce driving and purchases over a long period of time so that fuel company profits decline. Send emails and protests to those petrol corporations demanding the release of stockpiled fuel.
The government is using OPEC and other Arab oil producers as scapegoats so that the public will agree to the forceful control of those nations. Isn't that what Hitler did?"
Face it, if they were SERIOUS about reducing fuel rates, why do they market SUV's so aggressively when there are so many wonderful options to guzzlers? Why are all other alternatives bought up by the big companies and then stored? Alternatives that would work quite nicely? Remember,one reason marijuana was made illegal was that it offered a great option to fossil fuels. The first Model T's were created to run on this alternative fuel.
They are NOT serious about gun control. YET. They want a good excuse to completely disarm the American people. Until then, you can expect more MK Ultra slaves to "erupt" and, well-armed, "randomly attack the innocent. Of course the crime rate will skyrocket. People will eventually clamor for gun control.
Just so you know, EVERY Fascist or Communist nation disarms its citizens first before formally declaring the new regime.
And I am sorry people. It doesn't matter a ZIT who you vote for. You get the same government, just "new" puppets.

The answer is because there is something uncannily unique about the liberal mind-set. Most liberals are very good and caring people who want what they think is best for America. However, most never, and I mean NEVER, go back and assess it actual effect of the solutions they implemented. For instance, Johnson's war on poverty was truly intended to help poor families, particularly poor, black, urban families. The results? It damn near destroyed the poor, black, urban family. Just look at the number of single moms in urban areas. Some cities are showing 75% illegitimate black births. It was nowhere near that bad before welfare inadvertently made husbands and fathers a liability.
The liberal mind-set is all about feeling like you are making a difference. They never seem to look back to see if that was a good difference or a bad difference. Believe me, true, hard-core liberals not only don't see, they refuse to see. I have tried many, many times using facts and figures to show them how some of their solutions are detrimental but they just tune you out. They just start calling you a racist, sexist, homophobe. I have even seen them call black conservatives racists, female conservatives sexist and gay conservatives homophobes!
You can cite many more examples than you have here. Don't get me wrong, we should never stop trying to appeal to them because there are plenty of people who will see the light if it is pointed out to them in the correct, non-abusive way. But we must accept that there are a certain number of people that no amount of factual information, no amount of logic, no amount of reason will ever move from their position.
You know how the conspiracy kooks are totally committed to their zaney beliefs? The fact that there is no evidence to support them only seems to make them believe a conspiracy exists even more? Well, hard-core liberals are kind of this way, too. They are the ones still saying "Bush lied" even though everyone, even the liberal politicians they support said exactly the same things long before Bush did. No one is that blind unless that is what they choose or need to be.

Because they are brainwashed.They are not focused on the issues and holding the politicians to their promises.They are only concerned with feeling good and condoning bad and immoral behaviour and so they just blindly follow liberals who taught them that bad behaviour in the first place and who also stick up for that same bad behaviour.At some point after years of misery a person grows up and realises that all of that bad behaviour had a lasting negative effect on their life.That's if they survive it.Many do not survive it.

They said our state lottery would lower our taxes because much of the revenue would go to public education . Great job of selling the idea, but nobody's ever gotten what they paid for . Property taxes have always been raised and never lowered .

Hi there, from down below, looking up it seems that those up there don't care, they first seem to be interested in filling their own pockets, keeping the system running and don't really care about you or anyone else as long as we keep it down and don't slow down the system. This is the same thing in our families on the job and in society in general. Even international politics function the same way. Well, it is the way I see it. So far as we are incapable of running the country ourselves, we still need to rely on those guys up there. Either playing the game, winning by making more money and geting more power, or keep complaining, getting depressed, going to the shrink being reintegrated and so forth. Then after a lifetime of complaining, suffering and unhappiness we will go dust to dust and eventually be reborn and repeat the whole thing. Just stick with the Lord, who stood up to injustice and told us to do so, lovingly, but even he raised his voice, and adressed the issues making people suffer to the 'government'. Jesus is not about getting slaped all the time and just taking it in,he never did. And as they tell us to follow his example, we shouldn't neither. Understand a politicians personal short comings but never forgive and let slide thier irresponsible actions, when they turn against their people, the people who pay their bills, vacations, and support their decisions through elections. We got them there, they are responsible, and we have to demand that they fulfill their duties. Because at one point it is enough, and when the people stand up, there will be nothing to stop us. Just imagine a war and nobody goes to fight. Why can't take all people a vacation in Iraq? Just imagine millions of people traveling into Iraq,eating, drinking, sharing with the Iraqi people, the war would be over in a matter of days. The secret is simple, the solution easy, each and everyone of us, united in our suffering just unite, think about this-unite, say stop. And there will be silence, quiet - peace. Our souls will let out a sigh, to finally relax. All struggling will just be over. Food is enough, space is enough, conflict can be solved without being destructive. Just tell me, where your aggression would come from, if nobody is threatening you, hurting you, making you suffer? There wouldn't be such a thing. We have to allow ourselves to decide to end hatred, to end suffering. Because our main problem lies in our stubborn perseverance in suffering. we actually believe, there can't be peace, because we believe ourselves to be greedy, egoistic and violent by nature. But is this really true?

so... are you saying that if we don't wear seat belts and have less fuel efficient vehicles... costs will go down?
I'm afraid you're confusing inflation and market issues, with policies in those instances.... costs do go up you know... no matter what...
and a gun law change in one city, when it's surrounded by areas with no gun laws really makes zero difference in anything...
they have very few gun deaths in many nations with gun laws, like England...
