Geese are supposed to all start practising formations to fly south at the end of the summer - They are supposed to be gone by mid September -

They didn't go - most stayed here all winter and it was strangely warm - all year with the exception of a few snow storms etc it was far above normal

That increase in temps - sure seems like it is becoming the norm

The squirrels also have had 2 extra set of babies because of this warming change -

So if it isn't global warming then why is it that migratory birds guided by instinct who have wintered in the US for hundreds if not thousands of years stayed home this year ?

kveryeff…

Engadeing in the argument you want me to is irelevant - Who caused it or what caused it -

I don't care it appears to be here and real - We can worry about finger pointing later -

What will we do to secure food and water protect against disease etc - when it really hits hits

The crap that some wish to muddy the waters with is a delay tactic meant to divert attention from issues that matter

Unpredictable weather patterns.

I've read that in 2006 there were supposed to be more deadly hurricanes to hit the US. No hurricanes hit the US.

Then I read a couple months ago that because of global warming there will probably be less hurricanes. THEN I read again yesterday that there are supposed to be more hurricanes.

I read about all this on Yahoo News.

So I would like to simply say... We don't know what the hell is going on with the climate.

It was certainly a warmer than average winter, so the geese may have stayed for that reason. The real question, though, is whether the global warming is man made or natural. If it is natural, what is your point? Are you trying to resist the concept of natural climatic changes? For instance, scientists recently discovered Swedish silver mines underneath ice sheets. I only bring it up to illustrate the point that warming spells are not unique to this century. We know there were jungles at the poles. Climate fluctuations have been going on a whole lot longer than the period in which mankind became industrialized.

Geese only fly as far south in the winter as they need to to get food. Some of these birds were a lot farther north because new nesting site are available now ( maybe due to global warming). If they don't fly as far south as they used to it is a sign that there is food farther north in the winter now as compared to yesterday. Global warming is one of those facts that people can see but don't want to admit. Bigger leaves is a sign that there are more greenhouse gases in the air but no one talks about it.

Geese are being fed and protect so why should they move South.

The question is this global warming or climate change or if it is global warming is man the cause of it.

Please explain the warming of the other planets in our system.

Republicans don't care about the geese or anything else for that matter. They only care about money. The only way global warming will be a problem to a republican is if money doesn't migrate to their bank accounts......

They haven't flown south where I live for years. Enough people provide food for them, they no longer seem to need to.

They showed the goose migration to the south on TV. It was for this most recent migration year, and was huge. Biggest in many years.
