The more we fight in Iraq the more entangled we become. The Bush Administration has painted us into a corner where there are no good options. This is insanity. No amount of oil is worth all the blood that has been spilled over there. Even Br'er Rabbit was smarter than that.

A real patriot would approve of a tax increase in a time of war. Don't you want to fund the war effort? You can either go over there and take a rifle, or suck it up and pay a little more to help our troops.

It always amazes me that conservatives support this war without end, but don't want to pay for it. My parents paid for WW II. My Father was in the Navy off of Sicily in a destroyer, and my mother paid higher taxes and lived through rationing on everything. We are pampered. We sacrifice nothing, those of us who are not in the theater of war.

Very accurate analogy there Mr. Enzyme. We obviously are stuck there no matter what our next move is..... it'll be frowned on. Of course we have to fund the war efforts since we are over there. It's a must. But as you said....... where does it all end? That's the part I dare not venture to explain....... because what I see happening is not a pretty picture. I wonder how far ahead we looked when all this began. Did we weigh the options and consider the possibility that it would not go as planned? Or did we just punch that tar baby in the mouth because we were mad having no idea what repurcussions would exist? You my dear friend...... nailed this one!

Interviewers of Bush robotically record that he's indifferent to the reality that his approval score is so low, and refuses to act on public opinion. Insiders continuously say that he's extra occupied along with his legacy than with the present 2d. If Iraq is gained in the top histroy will decide him because of the fact the president that regrouped the rustic economically in the wake of September 11 and toppled the Taliban and Hussein regimes. that's a good legacy. Iraq might desire to be gained nevertheless, there may well be no "peace with honor" equivilent, otherwise he will in basic terms be remembered for beginning that conflict.

This analogy works for me. We were led into a bogus war by a cheer leading president who stole his first " election " in 2000. Someday we will have a " grown up " administration that will begin strategic discussions on a stabilized and reconstructed Iraq with Jordan, Syria, Iran, and other Gulf powers. These countries have a vested interest in controlling and suppressing the civil war...and letting the Iraqis determine their own destiny. We've helped enough already.

Agreed Bush is a freaking moron but lots and lots of other fat cat capitalist have put us in between this rock and hard place. If someone doesn't stand up and put an end to all this shortly we'll continue this downward spiral until we bust at the seams. America cannot handle being ran by these people who clearly don't represent us at all and having the few dollars in our pockets ripped out just so one of them can go have a round of golf.

I agree. This reminds me of Vietnam in the early 70's.
