They are not going to do anything. The UN is a total waste of time and money.

HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! This is hilarious! I think I'm hyperventilating! The UN taking action against a totalitarian hellhole? HAHAHA! That's a good one! We all know that the only countries the UN ever tries to take action against is Israel and the United States. We're talking about a gang which has China and Moammar Khadafi on a "human rights" commission! If they could, they would have Hitler on an antisemitism commission. Good one!

Unfortunately for the world the UN is a totally worthless organization who cannot do anything about anything. They should be disbanded and the building they occupy in New York should be turned into an apartment house for poorer people.

The UN made 17 declarations regarding Iraq. They had the ONLY unanimous declaration made by the UN Security Council in the history of the UN regarding Iraq. They refused to follow their own directives! The U.S. had to take action on their own.
If Iran were to nuke Israel, the UN would probably recommend Iran for a peace prize!
If they were to nuke the U.S. The UN would turn over world government to Iran.
Do you trust the U.N.? To do WHAT?

The UN is inept and has not taken REAL action against anyone. 17 resolutions in Iraq should be a dead giveaway.

BBriggs...EVERYONE THOUGHT SADDAM HAD THEM. Liberal politicians thought he had them...hell, SADDAM thought he had them. Let's get over that. The whole WORLD thought he had them. By the way...stop looking it as a bad thing that he didn't...IT IS A GREAT THING THAT HE DIDN'T.

Also, he broke resolution after resolution (17 of them) and was ordered to disclose and destroy. He wouldn't, therefore we DID have legal authority. Get over that tired argument. That dog won't hunt.

cowboy is some what correct...the UN wont take the type of action u are probably refering to. They offer peace resolutions, and if those have no effect they use trade sanctions, and other diplomatic means to keep empowering the 5 permanaet member of the security council

Your mistake was using UN and real in the same sentence.
The US is the only country with cahunas enough to deal with Iran. Europe is lost.

Past actions proved to be useless and any future action against Iran will be the same because they are very tactful to adjust them with the situation.

Probably as long as it took them to take action against the US for waging an illegal war and invading a country that had no weapons of mass destruction. I would say never.

The UN doesn't take "real" actin, they give out resolutions that don't mean anything. They are a useless organization, they have no teeth and everyone knows it!
