No, it shows they really could care less for the troops fighting a now underfunded fight because they can't put down their Partisan way of thinking and just pass a bill to fund the conflict. I say shame on the Democrats in the house and senate for doing this. While they head home to their million dollar houses taking six figures with them yearly, our troops are hurting for necessities because of their arrogance.
Edit -
Debra, Your bashing Bush about his service, yet he has been honorably Discharged, yet i see that you say nothing about Clinton avoiding the draft and making comitments to the U.S. Reserve and Active service which he never honored. Yea...what a great guy. At least Bush served.

Well in the first place they have to listen to more than just the Hollywood types to find out what the will of the average person is, not everyone voted for the Democrates that are in office anymore than everyone voting for the Republicans. As the Mother of 3 active duty military personal, I would much prefer we see this thing to it's end, support our troops both morally and financially, I could care less what the idiots in DC want, if we send people to war which a good percentage of the Dems voted to do so including Hillary Clinton than we need to see it through and not turn tail and run. Why treat another generation to the shame of a Viet Nam... OK I've put in my 2 cents worth...........

No they did not show their true colors. You aren't really realizing something. While the masses are bit*hing about the war, when polled they balked at cutting off funding. This therefore means unless the same ones who are against this war are also against funding, there is not much the Democratic controlled Congress can do without the 2/3 majority they would need to override the veto. So unless the majority of "we the people" get up off our collective a*ses and say to the Congress " CUT OFF FUNDING" then you got no one to blame but yourselves for not providing a veto-proof majority to the Dems. When dealing with a mule, you got to have not only the carrot but a long enough switch to swat his behind. The slight majorities in both House and Senate was the carrot but a short switch

As far as the color yellow.. I believe you have seen it in your president for a long while now... Remember the great Viet Nam fighter...
However, I do agree with you on this point about the Dems going back on their words. i am disappointed.. and they may find they will not be the governing party come election time. With any luck someone will come up with another party.. one that actually represents Americans and not Big business.
Very sad about the Dems. Thought they had some guts this time..

I think the Democrats are 100% wrong on Iraq.
But don't criticize them for finally allowing the funding to go forward!
Just thank God the troops will get what they need, and prepare for the fights with the Democrats to come.
Sorry, but it strikes me as illogical to criticize them for playing their budget games (and I criticized them plenty), and then to criticize them again for stopping the shenanigans, for whatever reason.
Please don't gloat. It doesn't help the troops, which is my only concern at this point.

No wonder they stay away from the Hill. Not a back bone among them. I voted and worked to remove the Democratic guys from Hawaii for years. They may both just pass away in their cob webbed seats. The self will, political gain and bias is all I see. And, OH it is a forced upon US early Presidential election season 2. How convenient.
Wake up America!!! Fool me once shame on u, fool me twice shame on me. Vote again for change and get same same.

So what you're saying is that the democrats first bill did express the will of the people(most Americans were in favor of it), and Bush vetoed it. Did the decider decide to ignore the will of the people?
