SNIPPET:
A delegation of Lakota leaders has delivered a message to the State Department, and said they were unilaterally withdrawing from treaties they signed with the federal government of the U.S., some of them more than 150 years old.

The group also visited the Bolivian, Chilean, South African and Venezuelan embassies, and would continue on their diplomatic mission and take it overseas in the coming weeks and months.
Lakota country includes parts of the states of Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.

As we all know, Army deployments generally last from 12-15 months, as compared to 7 month Marine deployments. However (in theory, I know it doesn't always happen). Lets pretend that you spent at least as much time at home as you did on your deployment. Which is better for the soldiers, the army, and the country?

Please don't use this question to argue about the war or bash the military. It is serious, and I really would like consensus, preferrably from family members and current/ex-military.

ok "if" i go and attend school and pull through 2 maybe 4 yrs and then enlist into the airforce would they pay for the school i already took? wouldnt it be better to join and have them pay for it all? this guy told me that i should join and mature and when i go back to school i would be more focused when i get back into a real college after the 4 year sign up. and becoming a surgeon and schooling , that would take great deal drive and focus which is what i would need.im not one of those crazy people who only go to party and i dont have that tempermant so i would party but not party like crazy

I have this helmet that was given to my mom by her friend. I know nothing about them. The cookbook is dated 1957 but I have no idea if it's related to the helmet or not.

My husband is currently stationed at Camp Lejune. His unit will be deploying in less than 6 months, I currently live in Ohio, with our two month old daughter. Over the last couple of weeks we have come to the decision that my daughter and I will move to be with him after the first of the year. I am excited, but worried that planning the move and the cost of moving might add stress to his job. Being as I don't know what the future holds for him with his deployment and all I think it would be good for us to spend time together as a family before he has to go to on deployment. Can anyone offer advice as to if this is a good idea to being moving so close to his deployment? If so any ideas in making our move less stressful for my husband?

I am going to a Big Brother/Big Sister party tonight, its to help spread the season joy to others. One station is to write a letter to a solider. I guess I am a little blank on what to say.

I know the typical Thank you and despite not being political or knowing much about the war, I support all the troops over there and had friends and family serve (some I don't know where they ended up and have lost contact with).

However, I want something more than just a thank you and Merry Christmas kind of deal. Any ideas?

And Happy Holidays to all of you!

I'm not too informed about US and Cuba relations, but as far as I know, Cuba doesn't like the US and vice-versa?? Didn't the US try to assasinate Castro many times? So how come this Guantanamo Bay is in Cuba? How come Cuba are allowing them to hold such an obviously inhumane prison there? And why do the US want it there and not in the USA?

Hi I wondering, should the miltary actively discourage marriage for young military personnel while in the military? It seems unfair for young families to move constantly, and when their spouse is on active duty, the long periods of seperation has tremondous strain on a marriage. Depending on the service, there could be a continous amount of seperation time due to deployment schedules. And not including the huge financial stresses, along with the added stress of having children, would it be wise for the military to actively suggest young couples to wait till they serve their service before marriage?

Hi,
I read that bombers, after taking off with bombs, must drop the bombs? Even is the mission is called off as soon as they take off, they must still drop the bombs and then return. Is this true? I guess the bombs cannot take the impact of landing. Can someone confirm this bit?

I just wanted to say I love being an Army Wife! I love the military life...even though it's hard and it sucks sometimes I wouldn't change it. I'm so proud of my man! Anyone else want to brag on their spouse or bf/gf?

me and my wife are divorcing after 6 years.
Im active duty
Shes crying about spousal support now.
Will I have to pay her alimony?
I thought they stopped that
Our kid is 3

I only bring home about 2800/monthly
Is there a limit to how much my wife can take from me?

shes talking about all this stuff, and when I add it up its going to leave me with nothing.
Can she do that?
Child support is about 700
Will I lose my BAH when they move, or only half? 400 or 800?
She says I have to pay for her health insurance 200
And then she says I have to pay half of
whatever child care is -- like another 300

thats already half my check

Now shes talking about spousal support?
Is there a limit of how much can they deduct?

Will I have to actually move back into the barracks?
Ive heard of it but never actually saw how much damage a wife can do

If Im stuck with only 1500 after everything for my kid
will they keep taking to pay her alimony

she didnt work because we have a kid

Should Australia go to war with Japan over the Japanese killing whales?

I think yes.
Someone needs to take a stand and teach the Japanese a lesson.
