As much as I disagreed with how Saddam ran Iraq, you can now appreciate why he ruled with an iron fist. There are so many different factions competing with eachother that need to be controlled.

One thing that i never understood about the Coalition Provisional Authority's policy was no ex-military or police of senior rank from the old regime could rejoin the newly established Army / Police force. So in effect you lost all this collective knowledge of how to control the different factions.

What was also happening was that all these ex-senior police and military were then joining the insurgency. They were unhappy they no longer had employment and weren't being trusted.

One solution: Recruit and use these ex-senior military and police. Then put tight controls on them. Better to have them working with you than against you.

We didn't make the place bad, a dictator-ship Made the country bad. We also didn't Tare it up Radical Muslim insurgents tore the country up. The ones Placing IED's on/near Buildings are not Coalition members (believe it or not). The EOD teams dismantling the IED's are coalition members. The MP's Protecting Red cross and U.N supplies to the country are not Radical Muslims From neighboring countries. We do need to pull out of the Iraq, but stay in the region To prevent an armed overthrow of the country once we leave.

There is not much we can do. The Iraqi people and their government need to come together before anything can be done. If these people can't get past their differences, then there is no way Iraq can be fixed.

it can be a drop contained in the bucket. of direction the deficit have been given this enormous because of the fact of each and every of the pennies and dimes added jointly. of course there's a distinction between national debt and a deficit. I study this recenty. dissimilar presidents are attempting to deceive human beings in this. Deficit is what's owed for in a particular 365 days. the bigger problem is the national debt. I doubt it ever went down considering that i grow to be born. Deficit spending may well be mandatory for the duration of conflict time and recessions, however the subject is that we've not decreased the national debt for the duration of solid situations. the main suitable we've been given grow to be in the process the growth situations of CLinton and we nevertheless weren't in a position to pay decrease back a number of our expenses. it quite is why Keynesian economics hardly works. What take place is that because of the fact the debt continuously builds, the recession purely get's worse.

Let our Government continue too, pave roads, rebuild buildings, give out supplies to the Iraqis, and keep the peace in Iraq.

Iraq is being fixed as we speak. I know it's a downer for some anti-Americans and Democrats.

Let the government take care of foreign policy. It'll be OK.

Let us guys in the military do our job and keep the politics out of it. Stay behind your desk in D.C. and keep filling your pockets with money that you aren't earning!
