You have a great attitude. I am also an Army wife, for 23 years next month. We have spent about 6 or 7 of those years apart. He was there for the births of our sons, so I'm grateful for that. He's missed a lot of important events, but we deal with it. We've been apart for a year and a half, with another year to go. He gets home when he can, usually a 4-day pass once a month. He's been to Iraq twice, and expects to go again. No plans to retire just yet. I am proud of him, even though it's tough. And yes, you are right, sometimes it sucks!

I am a very proud military spouse! My fiance just got home yesterday from Ft. Leonard Wood. I am so glad for him to be home for Christmas Exodus... I just pray he is here to stay (for the time being =) But that is part of the military life. But I am so proud, I have never been prouder in my life... I love being with him, there is nothing better in the world. I love the Army Way of life too. You learn to love it. That's all you can do when you love your man and you're proud of him. There is nothing like a man in uniform, whether it be class A's or ACU's!!!!!!!!! Check out this pic all you ladies wanting your soldiers home for Christmas...

Proud AF wife here! We actually spent the morning taking baked goods around to his troops, wishing them a Merry Christmas, and making sure that everyone had somewhere to be on Christmas day.
Like the spouse above me, he's missed quite a bit in our 19 years of marriage, but the girls and I know he loves us and would be with us at every special event if he could.
Everyday I thank God for such a wonderful man, and I pray for his safety and for wisdom as he leads his airmen.

Proud army wife here! He has been in for a little over 3 years, deployed to Iraq once and about to deploy to Afghanistan. I am pregnant with our 1st and they are letting him stay back so that he can be here for the birth of his little girl and I couldn’t be more grateful!!! It’s a hard life but one that I embrace, I married a solider and I knew what that meant. I am so proud of my solider!

I'm proud of my daughter in law and son. I know that sometime they get homesick and so I gave what was given to me, A Haven of Peace for Soldiers Overseas from a company called Independent Achievement. I'm with you.
