one of my good friends is in iraq right now and he said he will be in new york in april, then coming to camp pendleton in june...does anyone know what day that is? or do they all come home to new york? He left without really saying the exact date when he's coming home but i don't think he knows. he just said i will see him in june. hopefully by the time i graduate.

He doesn't know the date. And it would be a security violation for you to know.

There is no way they can give the exact date months in advance because it can easily be changed. Something could happen in which he has to come home earlier or maybe the have to stay longer. When it comes closer to the date you should get information from him whether a letter or an email if he wants you to have it.

Sometimes they give a "general" day/time of when they will return. Most of the time it changes constantly. Best thing to do is to go to the Marine Corps website and find out who he is with. Look it up there, they try to keep it updated as much as they can. Another option is to ask his mother, father, wife, or so on they tend to know more through the KV.

They go back to the base where they were staioned at before they deployed.He may not know when he is coming home and probably won't know untill a couple of weeks before it happens, but then again that could be subject to change as he could be extended in country.

If you aren't Family, then you will not be given this information even if they COULD tell you. This information is on a need to know basis, and you don't need to know...
