I'm really excited about joining the Navy! I'm mostly concerned about continuing my education in the Navy while on active duty and having the Navy pay for it. I already have a bachelor's degree (in social work). I was wondering if any of you Navy people could answer my questions.

1) Would it be likely for me to earn an MBA (preferably not online) while serving four to six years active duty?

2) How has the college loan repayment program, CLRP, helped you? Is it a good program?

Thanks!

I know someone who is planning to enlist in the Navy...He wants to know what would be his average savings in 4 years of active duty.

He says the average pay is around 1300 every 15th day..Is he correct?

Do you think he can save a lot of money?

She is in the Coast Guard and lives off base (most Coasties do) but her credit is poor from before enlisting. Her roomrate got orders and she can not afford the rent alone 1500 month. The new apt has rent of 1000 and she gets 1300 for rent so she has the money. But if she is transferred and we have co signed as guarantors are we off the hook> She is in California and we live in Illinois.
Thanks for any information you may have.

My friend is being all emo and is telling everyone when he turns eighteen he's going to join the army so he can finally fit in or because he wants to die or some other b.s. reason. Anyways, I'm consoling his girlfriend that he wouldn't be able to join the army because he has epilepsy, but she says he said no he checked. I'm confused, because my father wasn't able to get into the army just because he had flat feet, so I thought there was no way they'd let someone a condition like that join. So could a person with epilepsy be able to join the army?

i know this is a kind of a stupid question but what is the war really about what is the origin why did it start, im really not familiar w/ politics, and theres alot of kids in america that other countries are war torn and that ours could be to. i just think it could get incredibly out of hand and result in the ultimate devistation of this race.

Hello! I'm on a search and rescue team that has a military structure.

Recently a sergeant position opened up and several people applied for it, including myself and a good friend. It was pretty clear that my friend and I were the strongest candidates by far. In fact, most of us thought there was a good chance we'd both be promoted because we both are equally qualified.

I was the only one who got promoted, and I'm now my good friend's direct superior. I know he wanted this position badly... how can I make this situation easier for him?

Should this part of the Constitution be read to mean that all guns except rifles, anti-tank misiles etc used by US army be banned from private citizens' possession? (So no short-range semi-automatic one hand guns etc?) Or Is this too impractical in detail?

I've posted this question once before with some good responses but everybody had a different idea. This was given to me along with a cookbook dated 1957. They aren't necessarily related but might give a little perspective.

It also cost $62 billion for research and development. Is our current fighter fleet adequate for near to medium term threats? Could the money be better spent on Strykers, close air support, or the VA health system?

A lot of people say that the Iraq war is a good war and justified but what about Vietnam..

What is the difference. The US is now happy to do business with Communists..Also with Saudi Arabs....Where the 9/11 bombers came from.

Why didn't the US invade Saudi?

But 25,000 US casualties in Iraq.

Is it worth it?
