Yes. I am a Christan so Christmas to me is about Christ our lord. That's why i have a Christmas tree, i send out Christmas cards, i wish people a Merry Christmas, and i open gifts on Christmas Morn. I can't believe all this! They're taking the Christ out of Christmas!!
Edit: So we can't say Merry Christmas because some people don't believe in Christ? What's next, telling me i'm required to learn Spanish because most of America's population is Hispanic?

There is no "War on Christmas". I send holiday cards, Christmas cards, and Hanukkah cards. I open presents on Christmas morning. "Political Correctness" is a ridiculous term, made up by bored republicans who take issue with treating people with respect. First people were offended by "Merry Christmas" and now they're offended by "Happy Holidays". Maybe we should all just say whatever makes us happy and stop trying to regulate what other people say. There are more important matters n the world.

Yes, as a society we have allowed the political-correctness bandwagon to sweep through and collect as many souls as it possibly could! It's ridiculous and out of control. Based on that thing we call a Constitution, and based on the very, very first amendment to it, we have what is called "Freedom of Speech"...or so we're told. Even at that, not everyone is going to be happy with everything you say all the time...chances are not even yourself.
My point being, life is way too short to worry about if you're offending anyone, everyone or no one. If you want to say Merry Christmas, SAY IT! If you are more comfortable with the more general term Happy Holidays, SAY IT! If people are that uptight that a sincere, well meant greeting or wish UPSETS them because you didn't have the time, resources or know how to make an instantaneous background check to see what their religious and political affiliations are or what heritage they are, then BAH-HUMBUG on them!!
Bottom line is this: YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO PLEASE EVERYONE, ALL THE TIME. Say whatever makes you happy and comfortable this time of year, it's a personal choice and decision...and people need to get off of their high-horses and respect the fact that AT LEAST you were making an effort to be friendly and brighten someones day with a warm wish.
On that note, Merry Christmas AND Happy Holidays to everyone out there.

All sorts of people celebrate all kinds of Winter holidays, whether they are associated with the birth of Christ or not.
Remember it was Christians (Puritans) who made the celebration of Christmas illegal for decades in England and
in the colonies here. But that only drove the celebration indoors. Then it became popular again and developed into what we call Christmas today. Hardly any of this stuff has anything to do with the Catholic Feast of the Nativity. And protestants only recently have jumped on the band wagon.
It never was a solely Christian holiday, so how ever you choose to celebrate or not, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
And to my fellow Christians, Merry Christmas!

Christmas is a Christian Holiday...so it's Merry Christmas to me. Although I say "have a nice Holiday", I am usually refering to the Christmas/New Year combination.
No one complains about saying "Happy Hannakah (correct spelling?), or Happy Kwanza etc.
America has gotten way too politically correct. The few need to be appeased at the expense of the majority????

Sometimes I say Merry Chistmas and sometimes I say Happy Holidays. Whatever comes to mind at the moment. I do send Christmas cards. There are no presents in our house since my partner and I both have more stuff than we can even use.

There is a "War" on Christmas? Yikes! (I must start reading the newspaper again...)
I open mine Christmas morning. I say "merry Christmas" even though I do not consider myself 'christian'.
And yes...political correctness is totally "off the hook" these days. It is all so ridiculous.

I am not at all politically correct when it comes to Christmas. I wrap Christmas presents, I wish you a Merry Christmas, and we open our Christmas presents on Christmas eve.
I even sing We Wish you a Merry Christmas with my Granddaughter.
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas!!!!!
