I know a lot of U.S. Generals were fired during W.W. II but does anyone know how many? Also, if there is a web site where I can read more about it, that would be so helpful.

Have You ever heard anybody or know anybody that has join the Air Force and had Asthma?

I am Asking this because i have asthma and i want to join the air force to become an Airline Pilot.

I do not have severe Asthma and my asthma is not as bad. i do carry around an inhaler (a pump) but i do not use it unless i am sick. for an example: when i have a fever, a flu, etc. my asthma starts up and i have to use it, other than that i dont use my asthma pump and i know that my asthma would not interfere when i am in the air force. so how can i prove it to them, is there a physical exercise test i can take to prove it to them. who do i talk to. i talk to many recruiters and they said that i have to talk to one of the recruiters in my area but none of the recruiters pick up the phone when i call. if some one can help me i appreciate it.

"No, it wasn’t. It says here that it was a small detachment of the 36th Infantry that accepted Goering’s surrender. It also lists the personnel involved. Maybe some of these G.I.s are still around. Les Leggett is one of the few people still alive who was there when Goering arrived at Fischhorn castle."

I took the asvab and went to the recruiters, I still have bronchitis in my lungs from 2005 and they denied entry to me. Thats what the medical exam determined. Anyone know of any loop holes that i might get to still be able to enlist in the Marines?

This just don't sound right. Buddy of mine just received notice of a lifetime ban on all VA benefits. Far as I know all he did was have someone else fill out some papers for him. When the tricare doc got pinched for fraud he gave a list of names. Embassy says no appeal. What can an old jarhead do to get this straight?

My father is 73 now. I want to know all I can about his life. He will not discuss ANYTHING about the war with me though. Only things he has ever said was he was in Korea and was a paratrooper. Anytime I try to ask anything else at all, he tells me he won't discuss it, or changes the subject. I know war and what goes on is beyond what I can imagine, but it makes me sad to know I can't know anything about such a big part of his life. The war changed him so much my mother said, made him quiet and withdrawn all these years. Can another military man explain to me why he can't share even simple things? I know this is a painful question, but I hate for him to die taking those things to the grave. Any other vets who refuse to discuss, and why?

Okay...I am really starting to get confused. I have known for a while I wanted to join either the Air Force or the Navy. I grew up as a military brat and liked it for the most part (I just DID NOT want to join the army.) If anyone read my previous posts, I am supposed to be signing my papers tomorrow, but today two of my uncles came and jumped down my back telling me don't do it! They said tell them never mind and go to the Air Force. They are saying the Air Force is better, better benefits and all. They say the Navy won't honor what I want, which is: to spend MAJORITY of my time on-land as a nurse in a base hospital (I know I will have sea time, but how much), a bonus (the recruiter said not everyone gets a bonus), to travel some, and room for promotion. My uncles said that you get promoted slower in the NAvy than any other branch. Thing is, I actually liked what the Navy recruiter said (I guess I am supposed to though, right.) I am confused. In your opinions, the pros/cons of both?

In other words. I need to find the regualtion stating that a soldier can take a certain amount of time out of a day (or week) to perform PT. I don't need a statement stating "YOu are authorized an hur PT every other day'... I need the actual regualtion that states it....
