You vision has to be correctable to 20/30. You can wear contacts and/or glasses and join the AF. You can't wear contacts in Basic (they isse you glasses) but that's it/ Some jobs, like pilots,are more strict about vision requirements.

Here's the standards for corrected vision with glasses or contacts:
20/20 in one eye. 20/400 in the other.
20/30 in one eye. 20/100 in the other.
20/40 in one eye. 20/70 in the other.
Near vision must have the better eye correct to at least 20/40.
Refractive error cannot exceed plus or minus eight diopters of refractive index. (That one is waiverable)
Anything worse than the above is disqualifying.

Don't remember what the percentage is, but you can wear glasses. Contacts is a bad idea since wearing a gas mask together is a bad idea. What if gas gets under the leans? A recruiter would best answer your question. Their the ones must likely to know.
