You should not leave your homework until the last moment.

The best way to do your paper is the read what the soldiers in
the trenches wrote about. I recommend the book "All Quiet on the Western Front."

If you don't have the book, try writing about the conditions a soldier had to live through in the trenches. He would have to deal with the wet and cold conditions. The trenches would stink of human waste and dead bodies. Fleas and rats were every where. There were constant artillery barrages, with the threat of poison gas attacks. At night, soldiers had to be aware of infilitrators trying to sneak into the trenches to attack.

The landscape between their trenches and those of the enemy was known as "No Man's Land". The ground would be chewed up by the massive artillery barrages. Attacks would have to be made over this moon-like landscape, littered with bodies and tangled with barbed wire.

I hope this helps. Good luck on your paper.

What happened was know one paid any attetion to the american revolution! plain and simple.
also the generals and high ranking officers were done by blood so you had all these high class people in charge that saw their men as numbers.
the reason for the high level death rate in world war 1 than in world war 2 was because they tried to use the tatics of an era when a man could fire 2 rounds a minute and the range was hundred yards at best on a battle feild with ranges up to 400m and the rate of fire was dramicly increased by the machine gun and cased ammuniton instead of ball shot.
So the generals ordered their men to walk over open ground to wards the enermys machine guns (sounds clever huh).
I believe the average unit was half strengh within the first 30secs of the walk across no mans land.
These tatics didnt change till the american rangers (not special or elite forces then) ran and took cover behind objects whille placing fire on the enermy. this then caught on with the brits canadians and french plus pols.
The war ended by attriation due to the germans being so low on man power and people of germany wanting it over because of the loses.
The effects of the war wipe out the hole generations of men aged 16to 28 in the orginal countires (britain, france, germany) which resulted in the case of france and britian in the mass inportation of migrants from the commonwealth countries to fill the gapping hole in the man power needs of the countries.
** a little known fact the reason for world war 2 was created by the greed of the french and the signing a versi (i cant spell it for the life off me ) that forced the orready beaten germany to pay for all the damage of the war on france. this bankrupted germany which caused mass starvation untill a guy call ed hitler came along.
that do u?

One thing I can add to what you already know ( trench type warfare) is that the enemy used weighted darts, they dropped from aircraft, that would gain enough momentum to penetrate helmits and pierce into skulls. The troops developed skin diseases and suffered constant misery.
