I took the asvab and went to the recruiters, I still have bronchitis in my lungs from 2005 and they denied entry to me. Thats what the medical exam determined. Anyone know of any loop holes that i might get to still be able to enlist in the Marines?

I have went to the marines and the army, the test came back for both of them. I still have bronchitis in the lungs....whats the best way to clear that for me. I dont want to disrespect the millitary at all by findind loop holes to get in but by finding some way to clear up my lungs. I am so devoted I even work out with the recruiters and train on my own daily. I stopped smoking. Anyone know what i may do?

What James said. you don't look to dishonor the most honorable fighting force in the history of the human race just to get in a little quicker. Get your lungs clear and enlist with honor.

As being a soldier in the US Army, I have found that many have had some issues and bronchitis is not one. There are no "loopholes" by the way. So what you are telling me is that you can not join because of bronchitis?

I would be more concerned about the bronchitis than finding a way to enlist. Are you sure that it is really bronchitis? I thought that could be cleared up with antibiotics. You probably need a complete physical to find the underlying cause of your illness.

what does your doctor say about getting rid of the bronchitis?! Although to be honest, if you have had it this long and it hasn't gone away, the chances of you EVER being able to enlist are slim to none. you would require a waiver, and they aren't granting many at all in the Marine Corps.

The Marines are pretty selective. Join another service in this case.

Even if you found a "loophole", you'd never have the respect of fellow Marines for getting in that way.
