LOL. I have to say from my experience it seems like some of them do. I worked with one warrant though, cool as hell, and didn't do any of that. In my opinion some of the lower officers are nothing but over paid privates. However there are a few decent ones out there.

kissing *ss is what gets you promoted. sad, but very true. you may run into the some people on the top end of the food chain that are disgusted by this, but they are far and few. wouldnt you rather be recognized for a job well done rather than kissing butt? i wouldnt just say officers, but its the rank below officers that do most of the butt kissing

Most people have to kiss some butt to get ahead, others are relatives of the boss.
Unfortunately, whether military or civilian, butt-kissing goes further than honesty.

Personally, I haven't, and I seem to be getting ahead fine. While some do, it is not necessary.
Too answer your question. Yes, I guess most do. I've seen it, I hate when it happens, and when someone does it to me I tell them to be a man.

When they go thru CIF they get standard issues knee pads.
Warrants are the best the other officers can't say I speak to highly of them.
Sometimes it is hard to tell where one begins and the other ends.

I've kissed a little in my time. But I always got more respect for telling it straight up. It just takes a little practice in doing that with tact.

I was always on an Officers tank, and that seems to be the only thing they're good at.

my dad never did...that's why he get passed over for promotion and why he got out of the army...
alot of people do kiss alot of butt and that's not how it should be..you should be promoted because you have the skills and knowledge to lead your troops...not because you can stick your nose up someones butt so far that you can't breathe....
