I am so sick of this ongoing war, I dont know what to do!! Peoples fathers/mothers, children/grandchildren, brothers/sisters, cousins, uncles/aunts, and friends are being killed everyday in this war we can't solve. Thousands of people have died and I really feel for the loved ones of these soldiers. They need to call the other soldiers home!! How many other people are sick of it? How many people have lost loved ones?

REST IN PEACE SOLDIERS!!!

Iraq is still a puzzle for it's continuous sectarian movements in Iraq. Why and how it happened almost a daily routine?

2007-08-24 21:22:15 · 4 answers · asked by Tom H 3

During the week I was astounded to hear george say that we need to stay the course in iraq and not leave early as the U.S. did with Vietnam.

Funny, but I was old enough to know what was going on during the Vietnam war and all my recollections, and those of others who were actually in Vietnam at the time confirm that the U.S. was kicked out of Vietnam. There was no 'early' withdrawal as Bush would have everyone believe after his little speech during the week.

Will this bloke stop at nothing in his attempt to justify the many deaths of not only U.S. soldiers but innocent bystanders?

Please don't go on about going after terrorists either. If he was truly fair dinkum about terrorists he would still be concentrating on Bin Laden and perhaps the CIA would have taken action before and shortly after 9/11 with what has been revealed about what they actually knew.

So the Americans have done it again, Yesterday it emerged that the three soldiers died in Afghanistan when a US plane called in by British troops to attack Taliban insurgents they were fighting accidentally hit them with a 500lb bomb instead.

As well as reigniting the row over the lack of equipment provided to British troops fighting abroad, the incident threatens to escalate into a diplomatic row after the Tories said the Government should demand the cockpit recorder of the American F15.

Relations with Washington, already strained following criticism by US generals of the British in Iraq, could freeze if the Americans repeat the reluctance to give evidence to an inquest as they did in the case of L/Cpl Matty Hull, Comments please

Went to a movie tonight on Post. When the National Anthem started the woman behind me didn't have the decency to stand up. Fine; don't stand. It's rude; but I can at least ignore that much. However, she started talking loud enough to be disturbing. That I had trouble ignoring; so I turned around and said; "Ssshhh...". At which point her husband walks in and she whines to him that I "Shhed her". So, what is his very muture response? To throw candy at me and my children. Nice! So, I tell them that's enough or I'm going to have them removed from the theaters. I'm livid! I think it's highly disrespectful not to stand during the National Anthem; but then to talk all through it?! They had no idea who was sitting in that theater...we're on a Military Post for crying out loud! There are a lot of widows that still live on Post; how disrespectful to them and those their husband's served with! How can you be in the Military and be that rude and disrespectful to your fellow soldiers?

He thinks he is getting redeployed in December. His contract ends in May. Will he get to come home in May? Is it legal to force a contract extension? Is it legal to force additional drill periods without pay (other than the 2 days a month [which in his case is really 4-5 days a month], 2 weeks a year)?

For example, most of the American Black families have been in America longer than the White families, and yeah my family came over on the Mayflower also. It was after all the largest ship that sailed the seas because according to the rumors and family historys over a million passagers must have sailed on the Mayflower. But, have you every seen the Mayflower?
The American CIA planned and sponsored the overthrow of the Iranian President who was elected to Office during the 1950's. America armmed Iraq in its war with Iran which resulted in over a million deaths by American made poison gas. It was the American conservatives that got the simple minded Bush to attack Iraq, and now the Conservatives are fighting tooth and nail to keep us in Iraq so the Country can blame the Democrats for the loss in the Iraq War. Thats right, the Irag War is already lost. Bush has been hiding behind the idea that he listens to the Generals. Yeah, he listens ok, if they agree with him. Bush does not listen..

My husband is leaving in November for Korea for 12 months. He doesn't know what base yet. My children and I can go with him if we go for 3 years, instead of just him going for 1 year. He wants to go by himself so he is only there for a year. What is your advice?
I would appreciate to hear from people/spouses who have been stationed in South Korea and their experiences.

ok so i have been in the navy for 8 years and i have a year and a half left. i am a main frame computer tech. i had 22 months of technical school and i have an assiciates degree, so my options are pretty open for jobs in the civilian world. but i won't have job security like i do with the military. my military pay is actually pretty good. if i re-enlist i will get a $45,000 bonus and will obviously stay in for 20 years and retire. 38 years old and retired sounds great. but being able to grow my hair out and a beard is actually very important to me. can't do that in the military. the biggest thing is the fact that i am married and have 2 children in which all of their medical is free. i gotta keep my familiy's well being in mind. i am also back in my home town and love it. plus my whole adult life has been in the navy. freedom!! i am completly torn and would like some prospective from ex military that got out early and that retired, preferably navy but any branch would do. please help!!

I saw on the news today that an unforeseen consequence of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is a shortage of bullets. What do you think of this?

This question is not a "dig" on Bush, or anyone. It is just asking if you are surprised there is a shortage of bullets.
