A friend of mine was a pilot in the gulf war, the intelligence, maps and plotted course for the below radar approach was all supplied by US intelligence.
He is not here today because the on board system flew him at mach 2 into a sand dune the size of a small mountain, crash investigators found what little remained of him and his co pilot and found that the angle of impact indicated that he was trying to pull up to avoid killing himself but at Mach 2 he had no chance.
I know of other people who have had near misses from the US forces who are totally incompetent and I strongly believe that ALL countries that fight along side the US should cease and withdraw leaving the US to a war that they started but want the rest of the world to foot the bill.
What the Yanks need to understand is that they are supporting the war without understanding why they are at war. It has nothing to do with 9/11 but the us government uses it as an excuse to bring to justice the perpetrators of a terror network that IMHO does not exist other than to fuel and add credence to their war efforts.
Why did 9/11 kick off? Could it be the 60 odd years of US interference in middle east affairs? Evidence shows that 9/11 could have been avoided and I have little sympathy for 9/11 victims despite a friend of mine nearly lost his life, he was late for work that day and was in the lobby of the first tower that got hit.
As far a s fighting and war, sophisticated weapons are pointless if you have a moron pointing them, they will still cause friendly fire victims and deaths. The average American is that stupid that they don't recognise the foe but shoot the sh*t out of its allies.
If I was ever in power I can tell you that the troops we have out int he field would be pulled out instantly to leave the US to deal with the crap of its own making. I have no sympathy for them despite having relatives who are American, this is how I know that they are stupid because even they cannot see what is wrong with going and kicking butt.

The Iranian Airbus jet was shot down in 1988, not 1990. Before you call we Americans stupid, learn the back story. In 1985, while Iran and Iraq were attacking everything they could in the Persian Gulf, USS Stark was hit by a missile fired by an Iraqi jet. So, three years later, when another jet entered the airspace above USS Vincennes, the warship warned the aircraft. There was no response, and as military jets can carry a transponder that will emit a signal to make them look like a passenger jet on radar, Vincennes took no chances and shot the plane down. Maybe the Iranian pilot and crew were the stupid ones for ignoring an American warship telling them to change course.
As for the Turkish ship colliding with an American ship, have you ever been on a warship at sea during manuevers. Any miscommunications, equipment failures, bad weather, etc... can lead to a collision. An Turkish ship captains are notorious for ignoring communications if there are any Greek ships around, such as the instance that you refer to.
Every country is every war has had incidents of friendly fire. Does that mean every country is stupid, including yours Salo?

During WW2 a British fleet was engaged in joint training for the D-day landings with the US army. Instead of firing over the heads of the landing GIs they fired directly on the beach where the troops were landing killing hundreds. On another training exercise a US transport was sunk by a British shore battery, something in the nature of 400 men drowned. In short, friendly fire happens to everybody.. especially when you've got two ( or more ) different countries working together. Yes.. it absolutely does suck.

From working with several British units before, I didnt see much intellegence there. They often failed to report locations or missed time hacks.
Of course its easy to sit behind a computer and badmouth somebody in hindsight. Try it from a cockpit at a target that is in danger close range. If they were being engaged by small arms, even if the bomb landed directly on enemy, the friendlys would still be in the danger zone. Its a call you have to make sometimes and its much more difficult to use your finger to pull a trigger then it is to point your finger afterward.

They are targeting what is expected to be an enemy target, it is impossible to know at all times who is on the ground. America of course can act like terrorists and target everyone, but we are not that heartless. The media also destroys any credibility because it is sensationalism and needed to sell papers. Only a fool believes everything printed in the newspaper. Every country involved in this conflict has been guilty of friendly fire casualties, it is just popular to be anti american, you are too smart to believe that all americans are evil right?

The American military was badly prepared for this war. We expected to bomb the hell out of Iraq from the air and then just move in with no trouble. Our guys were not expecting a guerrilla war and were not trained for it. So they're paranoid. They're trigger-happy!
There have been many many incidents of innocent Iraqis getting killed because they failed to stop fast enough or reached into their pockets in a suspicious way. And fewer, but still too many, cases of friendly fire.
What could be more -American- than the idea of shooting first and asking questions later?

I do know where you are coming from. But these thing do happen in war. Every army is responsible. We done it in Iraq in 2003. One chally 2 took out another and a few lads were killed. The pilot made a mistake when under pressure and only having seconds to make a decision. It is unfortunate but mistakes happen and its how we learn to fight more efficient

As a soldier, I know that most friendly fire incidents happen when someone is not where they are supposed to be. Its rarely the fault of the shooter. But those are just he facts and your don't sound interested in those silly things.
PS. Use the spell check so you don't look so uneducated.

It's a war which is generally not an wholly organized affair. As for the rest of your statement, the only stupid one appears to be you. Unless you've ever been in a war-zone (and I have), you are just a clueless lamer with an opinion and we all know what opinions are like.

When you find the military that has only killed the enemy in all of their history then please fill us in.
I love the conviction of these morons, like they can really relate to the people who actually lost loved ones overseas. They post this nonsense thinking they are doing something for the world then log-off to continue to take freedom for granted.
At this point I have more respect for the enemy than your dumba**.
