Corps and convince him/her to join another branch of the service i accomplished something. the Marine Corps is nothing but a bunch of egotistical people who think they are better than everyone else. they are the ONLY branch of the service in which their recruit training brutality is covered up. we already have a very effective army in which could accomplish all that the Marine Corps claims they can do and even more. it takes more than just pretty dress blues to be effective in combat. all marines can attest to the fact that the Marine Corps doesnt have alot of job choices. a young adult who wants to make the military his first choice in life should pick a service that can train them for whenever they are discharged. young people, if u dont want to be a slave for the next 3-4 years, dont join the Marine Corps. the Marine Corps is very prejudice when it comes to promotions. why do we need two land armies? .

Ok,..so now it's a big fuss about the Americans wanting to place some sort of anti-missile shield in Europe too but Russina dissagree with that. My opinion is that Americans should stay the fcuk on their 'bottoms' and not interfere wherever they want to,...just like with the oil crisis,..anywayz,....let's not get into details. My question is what does this shield consist of? I mean,..is it a huge laser gun,...is it a visible shield that doesn't let missiles in? (sounds really stupid!). Anyway, in case u know the answer, please post it,...just for the sake of it. Thanks

I just came back from Hawaii. Interested in history, I can't figure out, how a couple of lame duck planes from air carriers 2 hours flight away could even come close to the island without being seen. The gargantuam amount of firepower in that harbor on that day, shoud have blown most of this planes to dust, before they where albe to do damage. any enlighthening there? Thanks!

We currently are stationed overseas with the military. My husband is at the end of his medical discharge process and we are having problems finding a place to live when we get back. Lenders will not consider lending to us since we do not have employment in the states yet but we can't take care of that without being in the states. Apartment complexes have given us the same answer. Hotels are WAY to expensive and would deplete our down payment resources. It is getting very close to us leaving with two children and a dog! Any suggestions or previous experiences would be helpful! Thanks!

The reason I ask is that listening on the news to the terrible injuries that Baha Musa suffered at the hands of the Duke of Lancasters regiment (who turned out to be an innocent man in the end!), he was quite literally literally beaten to death by fists, boots and rifles, suffering horrific injuries.

Although I think 4 were tried for his murder, they walked away free from a military court costing taxpayers £20m on account of a 'lack of evidence' and the presiding judge stating that he believed it was other soldiers from the same regiment that killed this man. Although no one knows who these 'others' are.... however someone must know something.

So does honour mean protecting those around you, no matter what?

This is not a dig at you, I'm genuinely interested from other BRITISH military personnel on whether you would offer the same sort of protection for one of your colleagues in these circumstances?

I was wondering if sailors can receive mail when they are underway on the ship? Any restrictions on what can be sent? I havent gotten a chance to ask him, but wanted to send some dvds, books, non parishable items.

OK I asked this earlier but never got the correct answer all the answers were tip toed around and never got to the question I asked... My question was does the Bank hold the bonus if it is a large amount, like they do a check.. to make sure it clears... My husband is in Iraq he renlisted (sp).. he is getting close to 15000.00, now I am really lost because he is on a mission and I dont have a way to talk to him about what others said..
I was told by the other answers earlier, he will get it in 50% then 25%, and 25%... he told me lump sum... then the other answers said it was NOT tax free, when my understanding is that it is...

Am I just wrong or are they lol.. .I am lost and I was paying all our bills off with it and needed to know if I need to stop the plans and forget about it... oh yeah last thing is people were saying it would take 2 months to get.. IS THAT RIGHT?
