Hiya RC,

Here's a website that deals specifically with ELS discharges.

It doesn't appear likely that the army would accept you...but you have nothing to lose by asking. Good luck.

I think it would depend on the circumstances surrounding your ELS discharge. I would think only an Army recruiter could accurately answer that question.

Good Luck to you whatever the answer.

Yes the army will take you. They might need to get a waiver for you but it is doable. what kind of job are you seeking in the army. be careful not to be pushed around by the recruiter to a job you don't want to do. let me know if you need anymore guidance on job selection. if you need anymore info on jobs in the army let me know. you can always e-mail me. i am a SGT as a 25U, Signal Systems Support Specialist.

You can join the army. You will have to go to Basic again.

depends on your RE Code. if it is a 3, you need to prove the reason for your ELS no longer exists. if it is a 4, most likely not.

Probably, since the Army is desperate for new recruits right now.

I am a decorated, disabled veteran who advises all young people to stay away from our military right now. Democrats and Republicans alike are abusing the selfless service of our troops. American military members are dying to meet political ends not to protect our nation. Don't let millionaire power-mongers like Bush and Clinton waste your life so they and their friends can line their pockets with more cash.

If you want to serve your country, join your local police force.
