Tiny. If for no other reason the demographics of the people who commit bank robberies (lack of education, criminal history, substance abuse) would disqualify them from military service in the first place.

Robbery rates have increased in past ten years. Alarming, incarceration rates overall are going up for veterans. No, veterans are not too lazy to work- military job skills do not translate to private sector and job market shrinkage does not help. How many dollars are used to wage war (ex.V.Nam War budget sky rocketed to 500 billion) but how much is used to provide veteran medical care(ex. most service connected disabilities are paid less than $300 dollars a month). Wouldn't anyone consider robbing a bank when one cannot get employment and most of your job training involved use of force? Smart*ss comments from the peanut gallery shouldn't bite the hand that protects them...

From what I've seen here in S.E. VA...the largest military population on the east coast....the bank robbers here are low IQ junior high school drop outs, semi-illiterate, druggies who refuse to work for a living and either get shot/caught after the robbery or get caught within a day or two. I thought EVERYONE knew that most banks include a purple die explosive in the money bags. Hard to spend money with purple all over it. These people aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. One guy robbed a bank, shot the guard and ran out...right into 2 cops on the way in! Then there's the lame brain who knocked off a convenience store, and tried to run from the cops but his WAY COOL pants wouldn't stay up and he tripped on the legs and fell! Then I heard about a guy who wrote out a money demand on XYZ bank and gave it to the teller of ABC bank. The teller said, "That's not one of our deposit slips, you have to go to XYZ bank." She called the police and they caught the guy when he WALKED up to XYZ bank. Then there's the guy who went in to buy beer, the clerk asked for ID...he gave her his license. Then he pulled a gun and demanded the money. She gave it to him, and he ran out...and left his LICENSE! THAT is the kind of dumb bank robbers we have here in NAVY TOWN EAST COAST USA.
Hope that answers you smart a.s.s. question.

About 0.000001%.
The rest are people too lazy to work, and can't think of any more ignorant questions to ask on yahoo answers.
