Right now I do not have a lot of money. But I would love to find ways to show my support. Any where to write letters to our troops, or any other ideas, be great. Thanks. Semper Paratus.

Is it because you never got over the beating you took in Vietnam in what was then an unjust war, a bit like Iraq today?

Which there probably won't be in the near future. But I was curious on this. To be an officer in the military you have to have a college degree. But with a draft, would that regulation be lifted? Thanks.

Any thoughts on this? British Marines and Sailors have been captured for "apparently" going into Iranian waters, do you believe that it was intentional or is this another add on to the already tempestuous situation in the Middle East. Do you think they will be harmed? Let's hope they are treated well and nothing happens to them, I believe they should be let go.

According to a WWII diary, they peed in the boots before sleeping, then poured it out in the morning before they went marching the next day. Can this be? and if so, what is it in urine that makes the foot more comfortable?

If you think, say, China spends the most on her military, put China first, then the next country, and so on, until you run out of ideas.

Let me first say I don't agree with the far left or the far right-but we have a man with 5 deferrments during wartime (somebody most certainly died in his place) saying or inferring that dems are unpatriotuic. 4 years and 400 billion $ later we find ourselves in a war in which he was one of the main architects-and most certainly many of his business associates have benefited (Halliburton-do the research many personal connections as well as his own)-I feel the War whether right or wrong was persecuted poorly-if the Chickenhawks would have taken Gen. Shinsekis recommendations of more troops we would have been better off. How idiotic to go in with a small "Lighting Force" while the rest of the country collapsed-border security became non-existant-ammo and explosive depots were looted (IED material)-disbanding the Iraqi military-it (the war) was conducted in an ignorant fashion-regardless of whether we feel it was needed-I am a Vet (Vietnam) and I have no respect for Cheney-

I just read that our aircraft carriers (read $4-$5 Billion for the new Gerald Ford) have no defense against the Russioan "Sizzler" missle. Evidently after launching it sheds its cone and then accelerates to near supersonic speed and has highly manuverable capabilites making it impossible to deter.
So, the Russians have this $1m missle that can sink all our $billion (with 3-4000 saliors) carriers.
Additionally we haven't been able to developed a similar weapon and spend 10 times as much on defense.
Question:are we that vulnerable to the Sizzler as Janes book on weapons indicates?
